Random Thoughts the 13th: Jason Takes RTT

When I took the youth group kids to Winter Jam a while back I brought a drawstring bag full of all of my extra hats and gloves because it was super cold and middle schoolers suck at dressing appropriately for the weather. The next day I checked to see if I got all of them back and, of course, I was missing one hat and one pair of gloves. They were my nice North Face running gloves so I really wanted them back. The same girl borrowed the gloves and the hat that were missing so I figured I would just get them back the next time she was at youth group. I haven't seen her since then so I asked another one of the leaders the other day what happened to her. Apparently, she had started dating another kid in the youth group and they had a breakup so bad "she won't even be in the same room with him." First, how in the world can a middle school breakup be that bad? Second, I assume I'm never going to see that hat or those gloves again.
So yesterday was depressing, but this Kansas game is at least making up for it a little

Kinda tells us our conference, and maybe season and team wasn’t as good as we thought this year. Big XII getting embarrassed in the tourney.
35 years? Wow. I was finishing 6th grade. I don’t think you were even born.
KSU without Wade is a drastically different team. Baylor lost to a 1 seed. Kansas was overseeded as a 4 and lost to a 5. Who else am I missing? OU as a 9 destroyed an 8. We’ve probably performed the worst out of any of the Big 12 teams. And we still only lost after multiple egregiously bad calls. And we knew that could happen with this team. I would say, overall, the conference is playing about to expectations so far, if you account for the Wade injury.
Don’t tell anyone, but I think The Breakfast Club is a ridiculously overrated movie.
I’m not ripping on the team. I think it was a decent season and improvement from last year. Showed a lot of immaturity but that is what is expected with a younger team. I guess the conference rankings and our ranking was about right.

My parents were only married 6 months at that point. I wasn't even thought of yet
