Random Thoughts IV

just sent an email that I'm looking forward to the response to /s.

I hate this program and their support is awful and the program is worse. I've been trying to install it since October. Not even kidding. When we decided we were going to do a different installation with it and we wanted the specs, they just kept telling me they did not recommend that and wouldn't answer the damn question. (I had been told by people smarter than I about computers and software that what we wanted to do should not be any issue at all). So I just sent a couple follow up questions that made it quite clear we were going the route they didn't want us to. Let's see how many times it takes to get an answer.

Not that I trust what they say anyway. We were told the reason it wouldn't install is because our computers aren't powerful enough. Finally got them to give us the specs for a PC - it's freaking lower than what my personal laptop at home is. Complete BS.

El oh el, didn't even get this typed up and it came through. They did answer me at least, but are still like do not proceed. I wish I could get out of the middle of this and our computer people would just directly contact them.

I'm curious as to where you're going with this....

Just thinking about a suave ladies man living in Hawaii.

Bonus if you have the mustache

I wanted to play the drums in 5th grade, but they already had too many drummers signed up. Since I already played the organ I think the director wanted me on a real instrument and recommended the baritone/euphonium. I ended up being really good at it and even better on the tuba in high school. I picked up trombone for jazz band.

There's another one for you, WDSM...Get right back on that horse.

After two hours of yard work last night, I was dripping wet. Wife comes out.

"I think we need to cut those limbs so the trash truck doesn't hit them"

Meanwhile, I was holding a shovel and had open trash bags next to me.

She didn't think that through very well

soooooooo after that crankiness and then having to deal with cable again, DH called and I'm like what's your bad news?

He got what amounts to a 7% raise. Not just him, most of his group, it sounds like. Plus the raise and two year raise/bonus thing he got earlier this spring. With a likely position raise next year with the team leader type thing they just had him start. So that's nice. I need to update my little spreadsheet from last year where I put in things like daycare to see how things would look with a mortgage. Things didn't look bad last year, but they look much nicer this year.

So I am less cranky now. But told him he should up his 401k again once he finds out when it goes into effect.

Gosh I'm proud of DH. He's killing it without killing himself like he was in the last job. He took a bit of a pay cut taking this job (though he'd been over-promoted to try and keep him there) and I think he's back past that point and then some now.

I'm about to go golfing for the first time. Any advice? I've already taught myself how to get a good running start at the ball before I swing and I know that if I miss I need to toss my clubs into some water.

Don't get discouraged when you find out it's a lot harder than it looks... Lol. Also, if you find that you hit a longer club pretty well (3-5 iron), don't be afraid to hit it off the tee instead of the driver. Accuracy > distance.

make sure to strike the ground with your clubs once in a while
