WDSM, something witty about skin flutes is where you were supposed to go with that. Damn if you can't help yourself Pants might keep pulling away in the 55 race.

Not very musical at all. I'll just show up and drink and listen.

Too late. She already sent me a mix tape. Game over.

8 years of piano lessons
Flute 4th grade - Senior year in HS (One year in college pep band)
2 years of bass clarinet in concert band
And, I'm an alto...alto 2 to be exact.

My Uke is a baritone. I just don't like the sound as much as a soprano.

Everything I've ever learned to play other than the saxophone has been 100 percent self taught.

I played the baritone because my fingers were too short & stubby to play guitar well, so a baritone uke (highest four strings of the guitar) was the next best thing. When we moved to Iowa, somewhere along the way someone or something put a hole in the back of the uke (soft case). Never replaced it.

Soprano ukes make me think of Tiny Tim *shudder*.

Those stubby fingers are the reason I never went very far with the piano also. I could barely reach over an octave, and now can't even do that. :)

Play the saxophone and piano. Have sung first and second alto and second soprano based upon where needed, but most comfortable at first alto now that I am old. Sang a few weddings and funerals  when I was young but don't have the range anymore. I'm old, sang that Ice Castles theme song too many times, all the rage back in the '80s for weddings.

You were right.

I have a friend that eats popcorn and ketchup. How weird is that? Hawk fan, of course.
Best friend used to open up a thing of cottage cheese and dump ketchup in it, stir it, and eat it.

It was either ketchup, or pork and beans he would put into it.

I'd much rather sing for weddings than funerals. I was "on call" at a local funeral parlor for a number of years, for times when the family of the deceased wanted a song but didn't know any singers. Some really bizarre choices they made, too...

Most of the time I sang solo, but I sang in a duet at a wedding once, kinda by mistake. I was a friend of the groom. The bride had a friend with the same name as me. Our last name was pretty common, our first names were spelled differently. They each asked their friend xxx to sing, and didn't realize the error until they were putting together programs and argued over the spelling. Fortunately the song was one that my counterpart & I could "share" and harmonize on, so we worked it out okay. I can imagine the panic though when they realized the mistake. ;)
