Dude. No one is gonna snark you about loving your animals.

Animals >>>>>>>> People

This.

Though I think he was talking more about what he calls his cat. But whatever, we all have different names. I call Riley my buddy, but I'm sure Rulzzz still feels the same way about his cat as I do my dog.

No hate, Rulzzz. I used to have to leave Riley at the vet during the day when he needed something done, as I dropped him off and went to work, he'd be pissy with me about it, but he'd get over it. Hopefully everything is alright with your cat.

Doesn't matter if someone is a cat person or not, anyone who has a pet would not be snarky to the stress of leaving them at the vet.

Mostly referring to the people that might give me a hard time for calling my cat my baby. I can just see the posts now. It's not a baby it's just animal people. At the vet now waiting to hear from the vet.

When I had to have emergency sugary on Riley (4k), my boss said "I couldn't do it. It's just a dog."

I told him be probably doesn't really deserve to have a let then.

Don't get me wrong, I get it. That's a ton of money and some people just CAN'T financially do it. I get that.

But it was a no brainer for me (accrued some credit card debt from it) because it was a blockage in his intestine. It wasn't something long term or would be recurring. It's because he ingested something. No possible way I could even consider putting him down for something like that.

Well they didn't find anything alarming in their tests. Did a test to check for kidney stones. Think her issues might just be stress related.

Rulzzz, glad you got good news on your cat.

KC, when you make swiss steak do you do it in the brown gravy and mushrooms or the tomato and onion way? I like it done either way just wondering how you make it.

Thick cut round steak (2-3 lb), cut in strips, pounded, floured & browned in hot oil. Put them in a large pot with 4 large peeled tomatos, crushed, one green pepper, cut into small chunks, one half onion, also cut into chunks, about a cup of sliced mushrooms. Pepper, garlic powder, seasoned salt. Bring to boil, stirring frequently, then turn down heat & simmer for 2 hours. The extra flour & oil on the meat form a red gravy with the tomato juices. We like it over mashed potatos. Serves 5 or 6, depending on serving size. PapaLew & I can usually get three meals each out of it.

You can also do all the prep the night before, then next morning put everything in a crockpot & let it cook all day on low.

Brown gravy & mushrooms sounds more like Salisbury steak to me.
