My son & his buddy drove all the way up from Kansas City for our date to see Jurassic World. We're trying to talk our German son into coming back here in December for a date to see Star Wars. I'm a geek, and proud of it. And I love Creature Features. PapaLew thinks I'm crazy tho... :(

work brag, something our team created is getting lots of awesome feedback from company leaders (old manager is at a company leadership thang)

took a long time to get it out the door, but cool to see it's being noticed! Actually, it looks like she and recently promoted work neighbor got to present about it to the company leaders/exec team. That's pretty cool too.
 
yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiikes, that suspicious death last night was a half-successful murder-suicide. 16 year old son was killed by his father.

Sound of rotary engines had me jumping out on the deck to look up through all of the trees to see what was up. Four single engine WWII vintage planes flying in a diamond formation. Cool. Probably AT-6's.
 
just got done with another afternoon of Uncle time with my nieces. They wear me out but it's so worth it. However one is 6 and one is 2 and half so the 6 year old wants me to play more activities / games her age while the 2 and half year old wants me to play with her doing things more her age. :smile:

I have a nephew out in Boston who will be 2 in October coming to Iowa at the end of August.

My "Huh." moment of the day:

Saw a hearse waiting in line for the car wash today. Logically, makes sense...hearses need car washes, too. But still weird to see.
 
Anyone else think maybe Sara needs to run with this new Shield Maiden thing? I am thinking maybe new avatar and all. :)
