Does anyone know the "socially acceptable" time frame for destroying an entire box of peanut butter patty girl scout cookies by oneself? I'm trying to determine if I need to stay out of the public eye for awhile.

Three days.

But if you're talking Caramel Delights, it's 7 minutes. Which, ironically, is where the phrase 7 Minutes in Heaven originated from.

So a buddy of mine from Hawaii was doing his military training in Illinois, but spent three days in Iowa. Dude has a big thing for Asian chicks (he's from Hawaii, so duh) and he came back and said "Pantsy, I can understand why you have such a thing for blonde girls. They're everywhere there and they're gorgeous!"

Then this last weekend my neighbor from New England says he fell in love with Midwest chicks. Said he met some and they were the coolest girls he's ever talked with. Said New England girls are all stuck up ******* that only care about what you're wearing or driving, and Midwest chicks are just really genuine and cool people.

You ladies are apparently making quite the impression over here.

This requires restraint, which girl scout cookies steal from you as quickly as a girl can steal your heart. I should send that to someone, that was pretty deep.

I'm not high. I swear.

half hour if I'm going slow

As long as you have washed your hands and face after, there is no timeframe. I was going to say an hour, half hour is still acceptable.

15 minutes. If you are sharing with someone else then 5.

It's good to know I can at least show my face in public around fellow Cyclone fans.

The caramel delights and thank you cookies will make it home, but the peanut butter patties rarely make it off my desk.

....and the caramel delights are gonna be shaking with fear once that cellophane opens.

In Indiana Caramel Delights are called Samoans. In Hawaii, where there's a large Samoan contingency, they're called Caramel Delights. Probably to avoid the confusion when saying "I'm going to go home and eat a bunch of Samoans." Also, because Hoosiers are ******* weird.

See, Birdy has it correct. The "stay out of the public eye" part is when you're eating them. The growling, moaning, flying crumbs and protecting them with your other arm like a stray dog with a piece of meat is the part one needs to be careful about showing in public.

Or at least...that's what I've heard other people talking about...I mean, I don't even really like girl scout cookies, so I don't do that stuff.

:skeptical:

To bring these two posts together, as a pasty midwesterner, there's a pacific islander girl I know that could be called a Caramel Delight.

The Mid-West farmer's daughters really make you feel alright
And the Northern girls with the way they kiss
They keep their boyfriends warm at night

Hearing about Pollard has brought back some scary memories of open heart surgeries with my dad. Thankfully medicine is amazing now.

Just made the connection that JP had his heart attack last night and something I've heard for years:

Springing forward may be hazardous to your health. The Monday following the start of daylight saving time (DST) is a particularly bad one for heart attacks, traffic accidents, workplace injuries and accidental deaths. Now that most Americans have switched their clocks an hour ahead, studies show many will suffer for it.
