Well I got a part time job at the local airport doing some plane stuff and light building maintenance. It will help for a bit.

Wait...1924? That's not you then.....is it????? Naw, can't be...yeah, you'd be close to 100 then, you're old, but not that old.

I'm guessing dad/uncle or uncle/uncle.

The oldness is upon me some but not that much! Older kid is my dad with his little brother.

Me and sister, same front porch steps in the snow but like 35 years later. Still a black and white world although the stocking caps had given way to hoodies!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you. :)
Hang in there...

Thanks. The RT crew is like a family complete with the old guy (really we do like you Boxster) and the (supposedly) good looking cousin (CG) that we all hit in. Can't forget the nice ladies that tease us with their baking...you could put 00 on that group too with his meat.

Congrats on landing something so quick. When I went through my unemployed stage about a year outta college, the worst thing I did was to focus solely on landing that next ideal full-time job. I got sluggish and wasn't near as sharp as I knew I could be. After a few months I did some temp grunt work, met a guy through that and ended up where I am today.

Maybe you can give my brother-in-law some pointers. He's been "searching" for a job for the past 15 years now.

anybody know how Menard's does their 11% off sales? Says we should order light fixtures the last week of March. We get 5% off on home type stores starting April 1st. But if I'm going to push that deadline, that means I need one of those 11% sales right at the beginning of April. Hmmm. I think we are mostly looking at Home Depot stuff anyway, but that will still need to be 4/1 for the extra monies. I think as long as we aren't doing crazy things like trying to order something from out of the country, it should be fine. Planning on just getting in store right now.

Do you need anyone else in this conversation with you?

But, since wxman brought up my meat...over the weekend, I was vacuum bagging 10# each of ground beef, ground pork, brats, and Iowa Chops that Fareway had on sale last week, and Mrs. 00clone asked if there was more beef sticks in the freezer, she couldn't find any. I agreed that there didn't seem to be any, gifts and get togethers over the holidays used them pretty well up, so I kept out 7# of ground beef and 3 of pork, mixed them up with the spices, and they're sitting in the fridge waiting for stuffing/smoking. Hopefully Wednesday...snowstorm duties took today outta the mix, tomorrow a favor for a friend will prevent it. Wednesday I may have to send the wife to school with the kids to get them going before she gets home for wild Wednesdays <wink>. Or...maybe I'll just wait until Thursday....
