Confession Monday: We dressed Z up and put boots on her feet on Sunday and took her into the snow. She only lasted two minutes. Maybe she will like it next year.

Some kids love, some kids hate. My 3.5yr old is a snow lover--bundle her up and she will go for hours. My only stipulation is the older girls have to be home to take her out, I don't like it that much. ;) I'm sure the two yr old would love it, too, but I have no snow pants for her right now. I have one that didn't like it until she was 4-5. She still doesn't love it. The 11yr old is already planning the epic snow fort she is going to build today.

I made my first trip out since Saturday night (ran out of 2 cycle oil for the snowblower)...KC: Yeah, the trees were really weighed down with heavy snow...would have been some good pictures for the photo buffs.

The 4 YO loves snow, can't wait until he's older. The last snowstorm we got when it was below zero when I was clearing the drive, Mrs. had to fight with him the whole time cause he wanted to be out with me. When I got in, I told him I didn't even want to be out in it, when he's older he can be outside all he wants as HE shovels the drive.

Also, lots of little ones out playing this morning, school cancelled. Our kids' daycare/preschool open, though.

Is all blue banned today? I was tempted to post a picture of my team tshirt today, but it is a shade of blue.

does it say "your belly fat must be destroyed"? Cuz i think that'd b okay.

<sorry for the lazy typing....holding leftover wings in one hand, typing with other.>

I missed my oldest son's first sledding experience completely. He was two when his brother was born and my brother took him while we were at the hospital. It was great though, he got a lot of attention telling us all about it. Loved it.

Some things in Iowa don't change. You got your snow, you got your shovels, you got your stocking cap, you got your scarf, you got your cool boots, you got your brother, you got your sled. And it is 1924 or so in Strawberry Point. From my ongoing family photo scanning project.

Wait...1924? That's not you then.....is it????? Naw, can't be...yeah, you'd be close to 100 then, you're old, but not that old.

I'm guessing dad/uncle or uncle/uncle.
