Could someone check on our resident Seattle fan BU?

I hope he's with friends and has a ride home...

That said, I'm staying off FB for a while. Fair percentage of family/friends are out in Washington or grew up there. Lots of "diehard" Seahawk fans among them.

I'm traveling to Cincy this summer and I was looking on Google maps at hotels, I saw one in the area where I need to be that has a place named Creme de la Creme next to it. So I'm thinking it's this fancy bakery. It's actually a child care/preschool place.

00 will probably translate the French better, but creme de la creme essentially means best of the best.

I see people using Kansasmustbedestroyed on FB and I realize they must be on here......

I went outside last night after the super bowl to shovel my driveway. I made one pass, went back into the garage and got a broom instead. It was about 2-3 inches of really dry powdery snow. I felt dumb pushing snow around with a broom, but I was done in about 5 minutes.

I've done that. Yeah, when it's light/powdery, a broom does wonders.

So it's "trending"? :)

Did Erik actually start that, or was he just the first one I saw promoting it? Props to him either way...I love the catch phrase.

He was explaining to me in detail how he started it and somewhere there was already a discussion of the history behind it, "Carthage must be destroyed".

I spent about 25 minutes clearing my car of snow today. Thankfully, most of the icey part was already melting with the defrosters.

Confession Monday: We dressed Z up and put boots on her feet on Sunday and took her into the snow. She only lasted two minutes. Maybe she will like it next year.

My daughter wanted nothing to do with snow until she was 4. It was an hour worth of getting dressed for 2 minutes of disappointment.

There's a high school prom joke in here somewhere

We lived in Manhattan, KS when older son was a toddler. We had this whole one-piece snowsuit, mittens, boots...the whole shebang. The picture I have of him in said snowsuit et al, in his first snow, is of his scrunched-up red face and open mouth. If I'd had video back then there would have been much howling. Epic fail!
