About a year after losing our son, my daughter was yelling for me during the middle of the night. I go into her room and she is sound asleep. I take two steps out of her room and hear "daddy" once again.

I walk back into her room and she looks asleep again. I sit next to her in bed and rub her back. She wakes and goes, "Did you hear brother call for you? I told him to call you if he got scared."

Cooler, I do believe you have just set the high bar for the number of different emotions triggered in me by one post.

Sadness
Anguish
fear
happiness
creeped-out
fatherly closeness

and a few more I don't even have names for. I may just sit here for a few minutes and try to decide on one thing to feel about that.

I totally missed a key part of that post the first time around (thought brother was sleeping in another room) and now I feel lots of sads.

Yeah....

Cooler I don't know how you got through that but damn. I probably would have just cried from sadness and fear.

Haha so I was scrolling and felt infatuated fingered something but didn't see anything in the area I thought I touched.

My deepest condolences for inadvertently tarnishing your record. ;)

The only reason I noticed it was my mouse pointer was in that general vicinity as I was scrolling, and I saw "emotions triggers" and was all AAAHHHH!!!!! I gotta fix that! then went back up to edit and was like...what the what?

HAHAHAHAHAAJAJAJAJAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH there is literally a negative kabillion chance that the name "Carol" will be anywhere near my children.

Though Ann is mom's middle name and I've considered working that in.

Just a guess Carol is one of the mean grandparents ?

So I love me some Costco hot dogs. Dolla-fiddy for a 1/4 # hot dog or Polish and a pop. Today, we were shopping there and lo-and-behold...now, in addition to the hot dogs and polishes, they have BRATS! And not just any brats, USINGER'S brats (admittedly only possibly CG will know that name, but Usinger's is in Downtown Milwaukee, they know how to make brats, plus they still make all the old stuff: head cheese, Mortadella, Braunschweiger, etc.)

I can't tell you how many dolla-fiddy brats I'm going to be eating in the next year.

Whaaaaaaaat? Your Costco still has the polish? My Costco replaced my polish with the brat. I liked that polish.

Now i'm gonna go pout...
