Evolution deniers at the farmers' market? That seems like the opposite of what I'd expect...
 
I'm bummed. I just cancelled our NYE party. We've had one for 21 years (since PapaLew & I first started dating). Good friends, kids & grandkids, Nachos until they're coming out your ears, games and more games til the wee hours of the morning...

can you make it a random weekend instead? That's what our fake grandparents did when they couldn't have theirs on the 31st

Nope. Hoppity already has our tickets. Don't think I'd be up for it anyway.

We're looking at weekend of the 17th. Yes, I know that's the KU game. We had already figured out we were going to miss it; our son is coming to visit that weekend with his four little girls. Choosing between seeing the girls & the game really isn't a choice. We figure we'll sell the tickets and watch on TV. Based on the prices I'm seeing, we will likely be able to cover the cost of two of our season tickets, maybe even all three. :)

we had one on the 4th one time, and for some reason, that one really sticks out in my mind as a fun one. Maybe because my grandpa blowing those horn things and yelling Happy New Year on their little street at 12am on the 4th was just absurdly funny.

I really shouldn't be surprised, assuming that people using a message board have common sense, but people...K-St basketball falls under the Big 12 Conference section, and stuff about Eustachy playing against NMSU falls under General College Sports.

I agree 100 %. Men's basketball is for ISU related threads. Mens BB isn't for all men's basketball topics.
 
Eustachy thread kind of makes sense in our Men's basketball. More so than K-st. bball.

I figure maybe someday he'll realize that a 16 year old kid does not impress adults by talking about all the booze he drinks, the weed he smokes, or the classes he ignores.

Then again, he's a teenage boy. Maybe I'm overestimating his powers of comprehension.
