I definitely don't want to make it cave worthy, and don't have any hatred or anything towards those who do, but WE'RE the ones that eliminated their natural predators. Sounds more like a We problem than a Them problem. Also, if you REALLY wanted to get in to a debate, you could argue that humans are the most over-populated animals in the world. But few are legitimately suggesting human hunts to control it.

We're a capitalistic society. We could hold it in an arena, televise it, get sponsors. If done right, I bet someone could even make a movie about it.

Knock wood - I've seen plenty of deer jump across my path over my years of driving; have yet to ever hit or be hit by one...
I hit one a few years ago on I35. A few weeks later my boy came home from preschool with a book he wrote with his teacher on the incident - complete with illustrations. It was awesome.

By the way the deer got hit in the flank by two cars and still ran away.

Maybe in lieu of the recent past, we shouldn't be discussing bans, whether warranted or not. Last thing I want is Cubs getting nostalgic for Cowgirl again and blowing the whole thing up.
