Fever break- Take a cold washcloth, and have him hold it on the back of his neck. Switch out washcloths, or re-wet same, as it begins to warm. Once DH begins to sweat, that should mean the fever's breaking.

CG, you mentioned sick kids awhile ago. CyBirdy should have some really good insight. Thankfully so far Z has only had two colds. the first one was not bad and only a little stuffy. This week she has had more mucus, stuffy nose, and felt a little warmer, but not a fever. For her, the worst part has been the mucus and trying to sleep. She will wake up if I try to put her in her crib before being several hours into sleep.

7-up is what I grew up with, but when I was expecting I had to drink Sprite.

I now feel like this is turning into "Where I've gotten sick..." Let's see....

1) Second grade classroom, but had the trash can next to me
2) Twice in the junior high parking lot. (That's a whole 'nother story)
3) On the bus travelling from band camp to a parade site in HS
4) At work. I felt a touch off, so went into the bathroom. As soon as I closed the stall door, I leaned my head against the cool wall, which felt good. I suddenly realize "Crap, I'm going to get sick...", do so, rinse my mouth out, and went back to work. I think the mix of key lime Yoplait and coffee didn't agree

Is Sea World even still a thing? I haven't thought about it since I was 6 and I went to the one in Ohio.

aspirin is doing its job.........he's eating the soup! Only a couple bites, but I'll take it.

Sea World is very much still a thing and pretty dang cool imo. I am not a huge theme park person but it is well worth it to go especially if you have kids. It also helps my wife went to Sea World camps and almost went into the whole animal training thing.

She says the one in Ohio didn't last. They are now just on San Diego, San Antonio and Orlando. If you ever do it go to Discovery Cove. It is expensive ($300ish/person) but you get one day at Discovery Cove which includes an awesome tropical snorkeling area, all you can eat/drink, a lazy river thing, tropical animals and you get to swim with dolphins. It also includes two weeks admission to Sea World and their water park.

yeah sometimes (and not pointing specifically to you and 00) it comes across a little less light-heartedly and since DH isn't here to give people ****, I'm a little bit less ok with it.

Though now he's running a fever so do I officially win the stomach bug vs. bad chicken argument? I think I win, DH. Now if I could get him to eat something :(

How about some chicken?

It is suppose to get up in to the 40's most of the week. This is the exact opposite of what I want, where is the snow??
