They pair food and wine but why hasn't anyone paired movies with wines?
I know Christmas holiday movies are better with champagne but what about comedies, scifi, westerns, drama or war movies?
The Resident Evil movies are only tolerable because they are scifi (bad scifi> than no scifi) and because Milla Jovovich is so very very very hot. Drink!
Nerd alert...I am watching Ultimate Factories. Such a great show.
I'm a total geek for the factory shows....all of 'em (well, except for the supercars series). The 4 YO is too, really.
Let me get this straight. Potato chip factory vs. Jilla Jovovich killing T-virus zombies or Kate Beckinsale fighting Lycans and vampires and you guys are watching potato chips?
:shocked::shocked::shocked:

They did warn with the nerd alert.
All...f'ing...day, e'ry day. I haven't willingly watched a movie in over 10 years. I just got to the point where I thought "I can spend 2 hours watching something, and there's a good chance I can know what's going to happen before the ending, or the story has been done before, etc."...granted all the movie lovers will come in and butbutbut their exceptions to that, and they may be right, but ROI/CBA for my personal enjoyment, I'd rather watch something for a half hour or hour (the factory shows or other discovery type shows or velocity channel shows) that I can be doing something else while doing it and not miss anything plot wise, and still have those moments where I'm thinking "Huh, I didn't know that's how they did that". I can have a factory show on while making sausage or a calzone, or delicious bacon, or heck, even a pair of toilet paper 'swim goggles' for the 4 YO. And even if you say whatshername is soooo hot. Hell, they all are...but if you're watching something for the sessy women, you might as well cut to the chase and watch some pron. (not condoning that, either, just saying why fart around)
True, and admittedly, I'm a geek for how things are done/made, and that's why I'm in the career I'm in.
Bananas! :smile:
Speaking of Bananas...did you know that part of the reason they are so ubiquitous in supermarkets is because of their predictability? They are shipped in a very under ripe state where they are a lot more 'bulletproof' than the bananas you ultimately see on the store shelf, but they are treated with ethylene gas (sounds nasty, but it's a natural by-product of ripening...even if the source of the gas for treatment is not) to make them ripe? It's really because they are so 'producible' that they are so available and so cheap.
