Speaking of Bananas...did you know that part of the reason they are so ubiquitous in supermarkets is because of their predictability? They are shipped in a very under ripe state where they are a lot more 'bulletproof' than the bananas you ultimately see on the store shelf, but they are treated with ethylene gas (sounds nasty, but it's a natural by-product of ripening...even if the source of the gas for treatment is not) to make them ripe? It's really because they are so 'producible' that they are so available and so cheap.

apples give off ethylene gas. So if you buy underripe bananas, put them in a brown bag with apples.

Z decided to start walking on her own black Friday. Now over a week later she's getting a little faster. ....

"Welcome to Toddler Life" ?

i *kind* of feel guilty about how I started the gameday thread, but I figure heck with it...if it's 1:45 in the morning and there's no gameday thread, let's just admit that's where we're at.

Yeah, there's a dramatic shift in life once they start walking on their own. It's suddenly like "Where the heck did you go?"

Personally, I loved the thread title. I just wished your OP simply stated "Whatever."

Working on Saturdays is lame.

And my new neighbor wants to go hit bars up tonight. And unlike my last new neighbor, this one isn't a douchey creeper looking guy. So I may do it. You guys might see drunk Pantsy tonight.

We liked the title. We laughed.

Well, I didn't want to encourage the season long pants whizzers, but to be honest, they're part of what I'm ready to get over with...the whole darn thing. Hit reset and let's see what we can do over the offseason. I'm still watching the game, but am ready to see next season.

Yeah that's how I feel, and I liked your thread because it was funny and neutral. The football's been brutal, but a lot of posters have been almost just as bad imo.

I've got a box full of old PS3 video games, NCAA Football dating back to 2009, that I'm looking to get rid of. Where would be the best place to do it? I'm not expecting to get much more than $20 if I take it to a Gamestop type place. Any recommendations? Any takers?
