On the topic of the Simpsons. I'm really sad that a lot of our youth these days is oblivious to the Simpsons in their prime.

I just brought "King Size Homer" with a friend the other day.

I have the first 7 seasons on dvd. not buying the rest because the series goes on a steep decline after that and all the episodes are online now.

Simpsons trumped every cartoon show back in the day and it wasn't close.

Report back with your distance, avg speed, max spd etc!

Me = still window shopping. Missed being able to get a 2014 Trek, none left in my size. Looking at Specialized Sirrus or 2015 trek FX 7.3. Not crazy about the Trek flat black. Reminds me of hotrod paint and I am a sports car guy.
Report: Ride to work takes approximately 23 minutes and that includes stopping at a few stoplights. I didn't time the ride home but it was about the same. Average speed for the total ride was about 15 mph with a top speed of 27 mph.

that's not a bad commute on nice days.

Speaking of nice days...

Opened the windows upstairs for the first time this season. Love it.

Changing subject here, I'm currently looking at the I90 expansion project. Right now I'm studying the new plans for the I43/I90 interchange in Beloit. Someone really has their head up their ***. I have never seen such a ****ed up design. To get out of Beloit to head towards Milwaukee, you have to cross over through an intersection with opposing traffic, basically an "X", so your on the opposite side going over I90, then you cross back over.

It's not final, but it's their preferred design.

So actually no one has their head up their ***. It's called a Diverging Diamond Interchange and they are apparently really efficient.

90%+ interchanges these days are designed for the ability to maintain speed as that has been proven to reduce accidents.

Zoom, zoom, you be a quick biker on that hybrid. I hate you young dudes and your fitness levels!

Got a combo platter of curiosity and concern regarding the ambulance and cop cars at one of my neighbor houses. They were there a long time.

not to carry over from the other thread, but do Self and Ferentz have kids? All this talk about coach's kids getting harassed if they attend a rival school and I barely even know if those two are married, let alone who their kids are.

Ferentz's kid was living in low income housing while on scholarship and his dad was head coach at the same university. I'm sure they made the numbers work but when your on scholarship and your dad is making millions it left a bad impression.
