I do the same thing. Wait till they come out in the cheap paperback. And have about the same amount as you. At our last house I had them on rows of shelves, sorted by author and date written (gotta start taking pills for this OCD). Now my wife won't let me put them up in our new abode, so they're in boxes in the basement. I could have a heck of a garage sale, but don't want to give up my security blanket.:err:

Do you go back & reread favorites? I had to replace my favorite book because the pages finally started falling out of it. It was a couple of bucks at Waldenbooks the first time I bought it. It's categorized as "mass market" now so it's cheaper than new books, but it's still over $8. :)

PapaLew says I've got my retirement all set up...reading all of those books again, and watching all the movies I've dubbed/ripped. :)

I'm shocked.

You wouldn't download a car would you?

Once upon a time, I had time to read books. One of my favorite summers was before #3 (and #4) came along. The older girls were old enough to swim at the pool with minimal supervision in the kiddie pool. I could lounge in a chair and read a book at the pool. Those were the days. It will be a few more years before I have that luxury again. Last summer I did try to read what my older two were reading, will try to do that again this summer.

Perfect day in central Iowa. Went for a jog with the to little ones in the jogger, then we drew on the driveway for a bit. Don't always get these days of sunshine, perfect temps, and little/no wind. Love it!

I love reading, but it's really hard for me to make the time to read. Especially LONG books. I don't read very quickly so I know I have to commit a substantial amount of time to really tackle a long book.

A few pies and some cakes and we can put this whole ugly mess behind us. Your two youngest never had to know this conversation happened.

Tornado siren going off.....It's not the first Wednesday of the month(for testing), and there is not a cloud in the sky. Somebody just lost their job.

I'm gonna bike my work route today to see how long it takes.

Report back with your distance, avg speed, max spd etc!

Me = still window shopping. Missed being able to get a 2014 Trek, none left in my size. Looking at Specialized Sirrus or 2015 trek FX 7.3. Not crazy about the Trek flat black. Reminds me of hotrod paint and I am a sports car guy.

"Look at that blubber fly!"

i'm trying to remember what episode my avatar appeared.

I was thinking it was the one where Homer goes to a mental institution and meets "Michael Jackson" but I think I'm wrong.

The X-Files/Mr. Burns one? Where Mulder asks what the point of this test is and Scully says that she thought he could stand to lose a little weight?

people here tried going outside, lol.

Changing subject here, I'm currently looking at the I90 expansion project. Right now I'm studying the new plans for the I43/I90 interchange in Beloit. Someone really has their head up their ***. I have never seen such a ****ed up design. To get out of Beloit to head towards Milwaukee, you have to cross over through an intersection with opposing traffic, basically an "X", so your on the opposite side going over I90, then you cross back over.

It's not final, but it's their preferred design.
