Implied by association in my post but the more technically correct sentence would be "...me and the even older dudes"

BTW, some of these guys are just weird. Guy starts talking with me (I made the mistake of saying something casual to him workout related). Next thing you know he is off on a rant about President Bill Clinton. Dude, you are in a gym talking to a guy you don't even know and you are ranting about Bill Clinton who left office 4 terms ago? And how he was fired from an exercise club instructor for being "anti-communist" back when Bill was pres and also how he had fought commies in Vietnam etc etc. Want to hear about his prostate cancer surgery and his suspended testosterone treatments? Neither did I!

Hour later in the locker room another older dude, maybe late 70's goes on a rant to me (out of the blue) that he cannot retire because "Obama stole all of my money". Than he admits he doesn't really want to retire because "you just die a couple months after that like my did so I'll never retire!" Oh, and toss in he is a Vietnam vet ...blah ..blah... something about how you'd have to shoot him or shot him or something. I am thinking he might assault me when he saw me putting on a Corps of Engineers jacket but maybe didn't put two and two together to figure I was one of the those evil federal employees "stealing" his money or maybe he thought I was okay cause it is "Army" or something.

I need to work on my "don't talk to me" face.

you need resting ***** face! Then people ask what you're mad about.

revkah, we've been doing a workout class at work Mon/Wed (I just do the Mon) but she gave us a weekend workout and I thought I'd share it with you (or others) who may want something to do at home on snow days!

Also, everything you see here can be done at home. Don't have dumbbells for those Push Press? Grab some cans of food - modify in anyway you need to. Make sure you are pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, yet always listen to your body - if something is literally hurting, modify it.
Warm-up:
Do this at least 2x, 3 if you are not warm enough after 2
20 Jumping Jacks
15 Squats
10 T-Push Ups
5 Sit-ups
Mobility:
Shoulders - Scorpion
Do this back and forth, holding for just a few seconds, then keep moving to the opposite side - you want this to be dynamic, constantly moving
Couch Stretch-
WOD: 5 Rounds for Time
30 Lunges
20 Sit-ups
10 Push Press
5 Burpees
Tabata: V-ups/Superman
(20 seconds on/10 seconds off for 4 min.)

Boxster-that is what headphones are for.

CG- Thanks for posting that. Most of my inability to lose weight comes from not getting enough done because everyone is always hogging all the equipment.

Only wear/listen to them on the bike. Might toss on a pair of "empty" earphones though!

usually I do videos or gym classes but these are nice because she has them set up so you can do it at home. She's been posting most of them for us to see, so if you want others, let me know and I can PM it to you - some of them have peoples' names for time.

The fact that the grocery store has yoga pants in the Valentine's day section makes me happy.

So, how much of the white stuff? I bailed on the basketball game last night after I saw the forecast winds tonight. Figured I-35 would be nasty. Mason City currently at NE 25 G 36 mph winds. Safe at home watching on my laptop was the way to go.

He was out there for almost three hours...he says 10 to 12, and it's still snowing. Wet heavycrap - we've lost a couple of limbs, may lose a couple more, but nothing major. At least with wet snow, you can kind of knock it off some of the stuff...Ice storms are much harder on branches.

We had about 6 of the wet/heavy stuff, but has changed to light/fluffy this morning. Got the heavy stuff off the drive this morning (except the plow hadn't been thru, so gotta do that effin' heavy stuff sometime). Hoping the fluffy stuff doesn't actually accumulate on the drive with the wind.

Jesus KC, I'd say that's major! Snow be damned, you'd better get to the hospital! Or at least get a turnicate.

Depending on the amount of actual hand shoveling it sounds like a 4 to 6 ibuprofen storm. 2 before and 2 to 4 after shoveling.
Trust me, I have an advanced degree in snow shoveling.
