the married now divorced couple that DH got to play kickball against. Dave and Rachel, I believe. They did radio ads for dentists and car places up here after that. We figured they must have blown through the million pretty fast.

Looked them up - I remember them now. He ticked me off because of the way he ordered her around all the time.

Never too much ISU gear. Everyone in my immediate family is getting something new for Christmas. I had to stop at the Alumni Center today and almost bought myself something.

Guys wear cotton polos still? Everything I have bought hubby in the last 5 years has been some type of dry fit material. He gets polos from work and they are always a dri fit type as well.

Cowgirl have you tried fleece lined leggings? They are my new yoga pants. As in I wear them everyday all day (different pairs). I just bought 2 more this week, one an I State pair that I wear for pj's.

Is the fudge gone yet?

There are two unwritten rules of travel in our house. 1. The weather will be horrible and 2. Someone will get sick.

Birdy, you are a MASTER of stream-of-conciousness posting!

The whole Asian Indian detail seems unnecessary.

Yeah I thought about that later. Didn't mean to offend anyone. I meant it as more of a statement that this holiday probably doesn't mean anything to her (she is the only one working all but the mandatory holidays) as well as what seems to be the natural Indian personality. Again I don't mean to be offensive it just seems to be a cultural difference between theirs and ours. Not a bad thing.

I had to check to make sure this was Birdy and not CG.

Stopping by for a quick movie review. Saw the new Hobbit flick. Save your money.

I am normally a very generous critic, but this one was bad on a number of levels for me.

All right everyone, next time you are sick or have loved ones sick stay off of CF! I'm pretty sure I brought home that gunk from one of you and now my 6 year old has it. I've been up with him about every hour all night. He's so miserable.

At one point around 4 in the morning after he has been up countless times...uh...going both ways...he informed me that he wasn't feeling very well. Poor little nipper.

Worse than the first? I'm a huge Tolkien fan and I thought the LOTR was pretty good but the first Hobbit was terrible and the second was only marginally better. Jackson should never be allowed to touch any classic ever again...ever.

Velo, I hope he can sleep today and gets well soon. Z kept me up till one. #nosleepforparents
Sorry to hear that. I hope she is on the recovery side of it.

Timing is beautiful. Last year it was strep that I and my other one had that delayed our holiday travel. I'm sure this will run the house now for the next week.

Ugh, I agree about the illness. Even with kids going down left and right in school, I was hoping we had escaped it. Nope, the 11yr old managed to hide her illness and go to school Friday (parties and stuff going on she didn't want to miss). I was out running errands when she came home from school and as soon as I walked in I knew we were in trouble. Quick trip to the Ped at 6:30 last night said no strep, but part of me thinks it may be. She was exposed by more than one close friend.

I can deal with sick kids, but we are supposed to leave Monday for the IL's. I took a calculated risk and sent 99.5% of gifts to their house. If for some reason we can't be there Christmas morning we will either have a huge overnight shipping bill or make up some story that Santa will come once we get to Grandma's.

Santa planed his route for their Grandma's and didn't know of the change? Good luck!

For the sake of millions of kids around the world it is probably best if Santa just skips your sick house and drops off at G&G's house instead. Santa doesn't want to be Typhoid Mary.

I bought Firefly off of Amazon for like 4 bucks. Best money ever spent.
