Yeah, we just scrolled past that and Lew started griping.
This is the first year that I have let my son drive a tractor by himself and I let him stay home from school today to help. I almost had to drag him out of there tonight, although he did say he was getting a little lonely in the dark
We don't have that and it turns out he drives like his grandpa which is not that straight
Okay, I’m far from an engineer, but when I have to explain basic things to one, it makes me a little cautious on the info he’s giving me.
How old is he? Curious at what age people start them now. I was flying fully solo at age 10. Too young IMO but just the way it was then.
He's 12. He has been driving a lawn mower, golf cart and side by side for years now and is more responsible with vehicles than most adults probably are. I have been letting him drive my truck more as well. He has a few years before I let him drive a manure tank because those are a whole different animal and it usually involves road time. Now if he would just enjoy picking up rocks.
Get him a rock bucket for the skid steer. It is still not a great job but it becomes pretty much all right. We've got one with tines about 1.5 inches apart no grapple works great for picking and digging rock.
I was probably 10 or 12 when dad started to let me haul in haylage.

What a day. My now 80th work day in a row, I've gotten about 1 good nights sleep in last 4 days, and an oil change today found about $2,000 in repairs. **** me. I'm going to sleep right after I post this.
Foreman is going to talk to the boss about giving me a significant raise, said i should be making more than I am. I took a pay cut, but still am making more money now. Boss said he'd see where I am after a month about giving me a raise, which would be pay for last week. Foreman said he's stingy about pay, probably because he's had a lot of bad employees from what I've heard.
I'm still learning but I think I've proven myself to be reliable. I've been on the roof, walked around through trusses, and used our lift to send up trusses.
