Random Thoughts 17: Here we go again.

Had to wtf moments on the road. First this morning I was at a red light going straight when green. There was a car opposite which was turning when green. I'm not losing it right that straight goes first on green, because the car turning went and thankfully I was slow in starting to go from green.
Then coming home I was in town at a four way stop then started and has more than halfway through intersection when a guy was approaching the curb walking 2 dogs. He doesn't stop and continues walking through as I'm starting to come through. I had to go into the turn lane to avoid him and his pups.
Ugh!

Smells like fall here but it's because of all of the dead leaves on the ground from the hail storm. Good news about it being crazy windy for a couple of days, a lot of leaves on my roof blew off so I don't have as much to bag on the roof. I feel like I am slacking, neighbor put out 15 bags on Friday and I've only done 8.
Did the commercial crew show up yet to do the one neighbor? Give them a 50 when they come and I bet yours would be done.
I don't know who's worse, people that think they own the road or people that think they own the bar.

Do you have a family? How old are the kids? A camper that "sleeps" six usually doesn't...unless four of them are under four feet tall.
Do you want the convenience of being in a self-contained motorhome, or do you want the convenience of being able to park your trailer, unhook, and still have your vehicle to drive around the area?
What you spend for gas/diesel, campsites, and cooking your own meals is roughly the equivalent of what you would spend for gas, hotels, and restaurants on a regular road trips. Modern campers can maintain normal speed on highways and interstates, but you need a diesel pusher if you plan taking it to the mountains somewhere.
We have a class A; we pull a small trailer with a smart car on top of it. It is sufficient size that two adult couples can spend a week in it and not kill each other. We've done that with two different couples now.

Are you dead set on a camper? Tents don't have the conveniences but are easier for use in more situations, cost, maintenance, etc.
Otherwise I also think the teardrop style camper is a good mix of both worlds.

Also, from our experience, camping is a relaxing activity, but understand that camping is not without stress. Maintenance & $$ are a constant part of that lifestyle.
A) one couple was our adult son and his wife, who rode RAGBRAI.
B) one was the trip out to Idaho last fall to take our friend on his last visit to see his sister.
C) BITE ME!!!!
So we have a toddler, but more often then not thinking of just going with the wife while grandma watches the kid. A smaller camper is ideal just because it would be easier to get around as I don't have experience with this. I have a good sized truck so towing it wont be an issue. Really just looking for an occasional weekend activity to relax from the BS of work and everyday life - camper over a tent as I'm still spoiled and want an AC and a bed.Several questions.
