Also, from our experience, camping is a relaxing activity, but understand that camping is not without stress. Maintenance & $$ are a constant part of that lifestyle.
Yeah I get that, but most of the time we plan on camping is still probably within an hour of home so $ for gas shouldn't be too bad. Any places that you recommend for camper maintenance? Unfortunately I'm not much of a handy man.

So we have a toddler, but more often then not thinking of just going with the wife while grandma watches the kid. A smaller camper is ideal just because it would be easier to get around as I don't have experience with this. I have a good sized truck so towing it wont be an issue. Really just looking for an occasional weekend activity to relax from the BS of work and everyday life - camper over a tent as I'm still spoiled and want an AC and a bed.
Sounds like you've got the major stuff figured out. I will also mention that self-contained is a blessing - and if you throw a min-gen in the back of your pickup, you can boondock when there are no hookups available.

You can contact local dealers to see if they do maintenance. Another thought is joining an online Iowa Campers group for answers from local, experienced campers. Facebook has a pretty good one; I'm sure there are groups on other platforms as well.

Good grief.

Kinda inadvertently opened Facebook, and had "tea" spilled all over my lap. Top post I saw was a former coworker calling off her wedding scheduled for next month because her fiance was cheating on her. They have a kid together, too.

That’s good to hear, I think..?

It's going to help us out a lot. It's been a pretty wild year of randomly changing income combined with quickly increasing expenses. This doesn't pay a ton, but it's going to make things stable and maybe even better.

It'll be fun, too. One of these has been open since they released the schedule. I've poked about it a couple of times to no avail, and then they suddenly realized (I guess) that full classes need someone assigned.
One is just another section of the one I spent summer setting up. The other is one I've taught a bunch, but not online. This will be a nice excuse to have that all set up and rolling. That'll be three recurring courses "in the can" ready to roll out at a moment's notice.

I guess it's better to find out now than later. Too bad there's a child involved.

We had a Winnebago, so in order to have any service done to be covered under warranty we went to a Winnebago dealer. Obviously, there were probably many other less expensive options than going that way, but that’s what we had to do.

We've always bought used, so never had to deal with warranty requirements. For motor work, we've taken it to Cummins in Des Moines (or whatever the name of the place is now).

Conquered this "Simply Syllabus" thing they're using.
I see overall via other social media that a lot of people hate it. Seemed really simple to me. Basically did the same thing I would normally do, but took care of a lot of details so I didn't have to bother.

I suppose if I looked at a syllabus in some grander fashion, I might not like it for some reason, but they made a change here that actually worked. Then it imported the syllabus right into Canvas for another thing I didn't need to bother with.

Keiffer Sutherland has really skinny arms.
