Our flight is now delayed by 70 minutes. The tower at ORD won't clear our flight. We had a 3.5 hour layover in Chicago that is disappearing.

Getting there. ORD has placed a hold on incoming flights which allows them to tell us we can't leave DSM yet.

My sister is flying to Texas tomorrow for football and they have to fly commercial so she has to go through security. She always flew charter with Wisconsin. Hasn't flown commercial since 2005, what should she expect?

Flying sucks the same as 2005. Maybe the passengers are more on edge being that the whole airline experience has become increasingly miserable

We're putting our shoes on after going thru security and I'm griping to Lew that once again the airline did NOT get our KTNs on our tickets. The gal at the front counter really tried, but it didn't work at all for her. This happened to us about 50% of the time since we got our numbers three years ago. This guy overheard and started asking me all these "did you do this? Did you do that questions" and trying to mansplain to us how the pre check works. I finally told him thanks, but we are experienced travelers. He asked if we were headed to Chicago like him, and I said yes, on our way to Istanbul." He mumbled something about oh, that's a little farther than me and slunk away.

Lew says I'm mean.

If you have an account/the app for the airline, you should be able to enter your own KTN. I have on at least two airline accounts.

I feel like flights are more packed than prior and then with prices being jacked up for checking bags, it feels even more so since everyone's gotta figure out a way to stow their carry on.

30 hop for supper their pork tenderloin is a different deal but pretty good. Big Grove 1929 is a decent red ale.
It was off the route at 730 and eating at 830 not a terrible day. At least one more day, but if all goes well I may finish tomorrow.

We did. We also had the front counter person try. TWICE. We know how to do it; they just keep getting refused on random flights.

Z had her first homeschool band meeting today. She was sooooooo excited, then overwhelmed by the excitement and noise before the meeting, and then just sailed along when it was time to play. Since we bought Star Wars music last week, her goal now is to get the band to play the main theme.

That is funny … I was also at 30 Hop tonight and got the Tenderloin. We closed the place down, think they were happy to see the 4 of us leave.
