Random Thoughts 15: Crystal Clear 2021 Edition

It's not often we come across a tree we've never seen before. Took down a tree today called a Sugarberry. None of us knew what it was so I had to do some research to find it. It's similar to a hackberry, native to the southeastern US. It was in an area that used to be golf course maybe 50-60 years ago, where they brought in various species of trees from the south.

The Boxster is fine, it's the old 924S that is disabled.

Yeah. looks like 60-70mph winds, have heard of tree damage and a couple of planes/jet bridges blown into each other at MSP.

Wow. I slept right through it. I did notice that the screens were all wet and so were the windows so I knew it had been blowing pretty good during the rain. I doubt if we got anything quite that violent up here in the Nort burbs.

Like so many storms it seems to break up around Omaha and then reform once it gets past. We got a real light sprinkle. Looking at the radar there is still some potential for some more rain in the next couple of hours.

Like I'd be up at 6:22 in the freakin morning. This is the promised land, we live a more leisurely privileged lifestyle befitting our Minnesotaness.

NWS says I got .40" o'rain between 3-4 a.m. Think I dreamed about that rain fall. Not enough to wash away my new lawn topsoil and seed the serfs worked so hard on last week.

hers. They didn’t get everything they want on the ultrasound so they want another one. I asked if that one was free since it was their mistake.
