I will not use Microsoft's browser(s). I think they suck.
You think good.
The funny thing is, Microsoft was pretty much at the vanguard of the computer age.....but their browsers are inferior to almost anyone else's. I admit I'm a Chrome guy, although Firefox is good too.
I rarely drink soda but if I'm in a mom & pop type place I might order a coke just because I know that's where they make their money. $1.89 for about 3 cents worth of syrup.I've started to wear on my wife and oldest when we go out to eat. I will 99% of the time just order water to drink. First, I know I probably don't drink enough so it forces me to drink more and second, it also cheapens up the final bill by a considerable amount. I pointed out to my oldest once that even soft drinks add about a third to your bill when you are getting a 8-10 dollar sandwich/burger meal with a side. He is fairly cheap and that is about all he gets now. The wife is trying to eat healthier so she now orders water too. About ten bucks savings now everytime we go out. Yes, I'm cheap, but I also don't drink pop and dislike most places lemonade.
Actually having been the treasurer of the local country club for a few years, and it had a restaurant and bar with it, pop is not that great of a deal for businesses. It would have been cheaper if we went to Walmart and bought a bunch of cans of pop for mixer than to use the mixer machine. The McDonalds of the world, maybe, since they order a crazy amount, but a stand alone place gets hammered in comparison.I rarely drink soda but if I'm in a mom & pop type place I might order a coke just because I know that's where they make their money. $1.89 for about 3 cents worth of syrup.
Beer is cheaper than soda costwise for bars, as a stand alone cost. Mixed drinks are their money maker if done right. When I tended bar, draws were $.050. (Yes we had electricity back then.) One night we calculated that a glass of beer actually cost the owner about $0.04, even including glasses. But then I learned about dram shop insurance. That was enlightening.
When loverboy says everybody is working for the weekend, does that mean they’re working for stuff they want to do on the weekend are they are actually working on the weekend?
Luckily I have no recollection of that...When I think of lover boy, I think of leather pants. Specifically Reno at 300 pounds In leather pants walking back stage to get hot chocolate during a song. Image is burned in my mind forever.
Luckily I have no recollection of that...
Daughter has her boyfriends prom tomorrow. After the grand March I get to go to a wedding dance. His other kids reception last year had open bar. I think that beer I had during the super bowl got me ready to do some shots.
How a broken person read a post-interview e-mail (for an 8-week, non-renewable gig this fall):
"It was very nice to talk with you"-------oh, didn't get it.
Then they offered it. Seems like a cool way to bide time, probably finish the teaching career.
Sadly, it probably takes another school off the list, since nobody hires their adjuncts.
