Never bothered to drain ours. It is 4 years old but the one we replaced was 28 years old when we replaced it. Will be replacing the one at the new house within a year though more than likely. F Marion water.

We had kind of a hard frost last night. Now the leaves are starting to fall. My half dead maple in the front lost almost everything it had left. I think I'll mow over them at noon tomorrow and bag them up.
Depending on how many the trees in back drop by tomorrow I might run the mower over them as well.

Assistance request. Are employers looking hard for professional employees? Son just got an offer and they are wanting an answer soon. He doesn’t graduate until May. I told him it’s an employee market and he could probably stretch it some. Am I hosing him with that advice?

Say yes and keep looking until graduation.

We have a water softener but we still battle our rock hard water. I have replaced the dishwasher once (about due again), the water heater once, the fridge once and the disposal three times (all due to corrosion) since we have lived here.

This reminds me I am overdue for draining out the bottom of the water heater. I like to time it for right before we leave town so no one is complaining about little or no hot water. Does everyone do this? I don't generally completely drain it but run a bunch out to get what sediment I can out.
Our water isn't terribly hard. You should probably move about a mile north.

Employers are looking for every kind of employee.

We paid a lot of money to upgrade to maple. Now my wife want to paint them gray or white.
I have been dragging my feet because my wife has wanted to replace our maple with darker wood. She was not amused when I found a piece the other day that mentioned that dark wood is starting to be replaced by lighter wood in the latest trends. I held out long enough that it is coming back!

That is great news for my house!

My son & his wife had lovely oak cabinets in their kitchen. She's an HGTV fan...she painted them all matte grey.
They just bought a new (to them) home. It has wood cabinets, and beautiful wood trim throughout. I asked him if they were going to paint the wood (he shares my opinion of painting over wood) and he just shook his head. Man, I HATE trendy ****!!!

I just told the wife that she should start seeing what she wants. I’m nervous what this will cost. Just cabinets and countertops but still a good chunk. I need to tell the salesman to put the medium price stuff at double price and then offer 50%off. My wife would buy a Yugo over a Bentley if the sticker was higher. If it’s more expensive it has to be better, right?
