Sounds too serious for me.
 
The stories of restaurants with employee shortages is no joke. At my place I'm the only fulltime person at that position. Normally on the weekends we have at least 2 people at each place in the kitchen. Today we had 1 each with the manager having to help the station needing it the most. I had a 10 hour day yesterday and another 7 today.

Good news is, it keeps you out of trouble and you are raking in the moolah.

That's been reported in Madison too. I hope it all gets better.

There's a bit of irony in it and will be if the positions don't get filled.

Oh, I agree that the shortages are real and that they suck. In my section, we run 1 person for the afternoon/evening. They called in, so I left an hour early, had a bit of a break, and came back for a few more hours.

I don't buy that it's unemployment, though. We just don't pay enough for the madness people have to deal with.

Cliche and exaggerated but the movie 'waiting' has some truths to it, particularly with the customers.

Whoops.

Movie's called 'Waiting'. From 2005. Ryan Reynolds and some other well knownish folks.

Basically the 'Office Space' of the restaurant industry, just not as good.

I watched it while working in that world so was pretty funny to see some common threads.

Not really. But think about it - if they didn't regulate it, any piece of trash could be dumped anywhere and someone could call it a cache. It's about respecting private property and not placing a cache without the property owner's permission (public parks are fair game, exteriors of public buildings and private businesses are also fair game within reason, but indoor caches are VERY rare. Burying them is not allowed; otherwise people are digging holes all around ground zero (and up to 10 feet away depending on how accurate their GPS and the stated coordinates are). They make sure that the cache will be maintained so that when people go to the trouble of searching for it, there is actually something there for them to find. There are good reasons for the rules & cache standards.

Remember the pokemon go craze a few years ago? Players were millng around in private businesses trying to "catch" virtual critters, disrupting the businesses, causing traffic snarls, etc. Geocache has been around for 20 years now, and stays around because people respect the game. :)
 
Spent another Saturday at the MIL's, cleaning up flower beds, shrubbery, rock gardens, etc. Stuff's been ignored for at least 7-8 years, it's a total mess. My arms look like I got in a fight with a bobcat. But it's looking a lot better.
 
These track meets drive me crazy. Middle of the day starts at 4:30. So I went to hitting the road around 4:30 am for work. I’m not a morning person so I’m still dragging tail from that stuff. Back to my 6ish awake up and 6:30ish get out of bed.
