Race Thompson

? He isn't a top 100 recruit on some sites and has fallen in the last year or so. Not in the top 100 on Rivals, ESPN, or Hoopseen. Think he is good but I don't expect him to be really good as a freshman.
Dude, think about it. Be damned with Rankings.

Indiana, Michigan State, Michigan, Minn, ISU, West Virginia, Baylor..

Just change your name to Wet Blanket.

You can take MSU and WVU off of there.

Ok, again not saying he isn't any good. I am saying he is not someone you can guarantee immediate playing time. That is all. He isn't a Wigginton level recruit. Could he get big minutes, sure. Could also come in and see spots minutes? yes. It really shouldn't be that controversial.

Some people are too sensitive about making realistic statements of a player.

We've offered a lot of forwards recently, so it's possible the coaches don't feel great about their chances or at least are feeling like it's a crapshoot.

I tend to agree with you here. Sure, we'd all love to land Race Thompson, he looks like a really good prospect, however, I definitely wouldn't lose my marbles if tomorrow he committed somewhere else. I still have enough faith in Prohm that he could find someone else nearly as good or better.

Or they realize we are going to have 3-6 spots to fill next year if we don't get the 2 open ones filled yet for this year.

Yeah, that's defininetly part of it. We will probably have a minimum of 4 assuming we still fill one with a multi-year player and have no attrition.

I would take the over on that number and it could easily be 5-6 before it's all said and done.

I doubt that, Race is still their top target. It would be negligent not to have relationships built with other prospects to add with or if RT goes somewhere else.
The staff is in the summer evaluation period we will see a number of offers for all positions going out over the next two months.
