Q&A: Abdelmassih breaks down DeAndre Kane

Yeah, I guess you're right, I should know better than to expect people to having reading comprehension.

I love when I post something, then a bunch of people read things into what I said, that I didn't say, and then beat me up about it. Who's fault is that again that a bunch of you couldn't understand what I clearly posted? Oh yeah, it's my fault. Whatever.

I love the hatred on this site. It's unbelievable. There's a certain group of people on here that would rip my head off no matter what I post. Heck, I'm not sure if some even read what I written when I see their posts ripping on me. They don't make sense. They're just ripping me about things I didn't even say. Kinda like this thread.

But hey, whatever. If it's fun for you guys, then so be it. Have at it.

If 90% of the board lacks reading comprehension when it comes to your posts, the problem may instead lie in your thinking/writing.

We could win the National Championship and clonedude would be critical of how we played.

I can see it now...:

"Guys, I know we won, but Melvin shot under 50% from the floor. This is a huge cause for concern. I know he's graduating and will never be playing another game in a Cyclone uniform, but if he even wants to have a shot at the next level, he has to prove he wants it on the biggest stage. Does Fred know about Melvin's under-performance? He had a couple dunks, but that DEFINITELY DOES NOT make him a good basketball player."

90% of the board lacks reading comprehension in general. I seriously wonder how some of you guys are able to tie your own shoes.

Hey, I represent that :)

People that can't read can still tie their shoes. Duh.

I assume that you are quoting the future, because that looks like a direct quote.

And I hate clouds. I want that known. I also hate the sun, and wish the clouds would do a better job of blocking out the sun.

Once again, as I've been pointing out, please tell me where I've been negative? I haven't. You guys somehow are reading into it that I'm being negative somehow?

I've said NUMEROUS times now that the addition of Kane is good no matter what the situation is. I don't know how many times I need to say that? Is that being negative?

And I've also said that CW needed to ask the question that everyone wants the answer to. That's not being negative either. At least not in my mind.

And I've stated that I cannot make any judgement on whether our team will be better with Kane or not without knowing if anyone else is leaving. That is an obvious statement and also there is nothing negative about that either.

But poster after poster is saying I'm Mr. Negative. I don't get it? As I've said, the hatred overrides the reading comprehension for some reason?

probably because they've seen you on football gamedays.

Pipe down, Mr. Negative.

Good interview CW, but is it off limits to ask Matt how we have room for him on the roster? Because if not, that is the question that MUST be asked by any responsible journalist. - Accuse CW of being an irresponsible journalist. (Negative)

Agree completely.

That's why I phrased my original post the way I did. I first asked if it was off limits or not to ask? And then said, if it's not off limits, then why not ask the question that everyone wants to know the answer to?

I don't see how that question is putting anyone on the spot or in a corner at all. Everyone in the world knows how many schollies we have to offer, and we didn't have one open. It is not a "gotcha" question at all.

And if CW did ask it, and Matt simply told him that he can't answer that question, then fine. But you HAVE to ask it, unless you are too concerned about ticking anyone off if you ask tough questions? And if our coaches are that soft, then what are they doing coaching?

I have no problem if Matt tells CW that he can't go there, but the question has to be asked. Otherwise, what good is the info we get out of these interviews if it is all sugar-coated right down the middle questions that we all already know the answers to?

I understand this is a free site, and that CW wants to kiss butt so that he can keep getting these interviews, but they are kinda pointless if we can't ask important questions IMO. - CW wants to kiss butt? Yeah that's not negative at all.

No, but if I ran this website, I sure wouldn't mind Chris telling me what he likes or dislikes about it. That goes with the territory.

If I ran a website dedicated to following ISU athletics, I'd probably expect my followers to expect me to ask the tough questions everyone wants to know the answer to. CW has access to ISU athletics that none of us has. He makes a living with that access and coverage. He is part of the media. He should be allowed, and expected, to ask the questions everyone wants answers to. Otherwise he risks losing members to other sites that will. - Oh, saying people might leave the sight? Negative!

You couldn't be so lucky.

I guess nobody else cares if we are going to lose someone else, huh? It's always the "next guy in" is going to be the best player ever. Just like the backup QB is always the best player on the football team too... until he gets in the game and is no better than the starter.

All I know is that last year's team was a LOT better when Bubu was a part of it. He was one of our best defenders. He doesn't make a lot of stupid mistakes. And he can knock down FT's at the end of games too to lock up the win versus letting it slip away from us. He's not spectacular, but he was important. Fred agrees.

And Naz Long is more of an unknown, but I bet he could easily start and avg double figures in the MAC. These guys are no slouches. Naz was recruited by many schools for a reason.

And so was Kane. So I'm sure he brings his own strengths as well, and I'm glad we got him. But I can't make a final judgement on acquiring him before I know if we are losing anyone or not..... and who that person would be? - Talking about losses in a thread about a gain - Negative.

Go ahead and ban me then. - Negative overreaction If I can't come on here and ask if the guy running the site asked the one question everyone wants to know the answer to, then what's the point behind having a site? - Questioning the point of having the site - Negative.

I guess it's not to question anything. Just like society these days. Don't make waves. Don't look outside the lines. Status quo is just fine. - Smartass negative comment

Correct. He might have been asked the question. And I've already said that he probably was. And no, I don't need CW to tell me if he asked it or not.

ALL I said was that the question had to be asked. I was not expecting an answer, and I'm sure CW wasn't either, but it still doesn't change the fact that it had to be asked IMO. - One of the dumbest comments I've ever read on this site.

BINGO! Hey, someone on here gets it.

I said that the question had to be asked. I never said I expected an answer. - Continuing dumb thought

Why? What does that have to do with anything?

Who were the ones in this thread reading something into my posts that wasn't there? I said that any responsible journalist HAS to ask the question where the open scholarship came from. That's it.- Again, pointing out you called CW irresponsible.

Everyone else was somehow thinking that I was demanding an answer or something?

It's like when Obama holds a press conference after this IRS thing brewed up. It would be irresponsible journalism to not ask him a question about what he knew about it. You know you're probably not going to get any kind of answer, but you still HAVE to ask the question.
These are all the quotes Cyclone Fanatic would let me put into one post...

Where? I suggest a review of your entire posting history. That's kind of your M.O. Your calling card, as it were.

You're the wet blanket, the glass half empty guy, the bird poop in the ice cream, the sourpuss, the dirty diaper on Grandpa an hour into the drive to Branson, the "always finds a fault" guy, the "no news is good enough that it can't be complained about" guy. It's just sort of your thing, your role on CF. I'm not suggesting you stop. I just thought you knew the impression your posts have been leaving over the years. It's what we've all come to expect of you.

i'll be honest, If I didn't see your avatar, I would have thought clonedude would have said that. Exact same tone and everything. Good **** fitzy.
