Q&A: Abdelmassih breaks down DeAndre Kane

The fact that nearly everyone read it differently than you supposedly meant it should tell you something; you came across as a total asshat to CW in your post.

I know at least 3 others that didn't read it that way. I've also gotten some likes and a positive reputation comment from it as well. So not everyone took it the way you did.

does chris tell you how to do your job?

I swear, as I was catching up, I was just about to ask clonedude what his job was so we could all tell him how to do it better.

You must be a genius, too, Cash.

CW, I sincerely hope you haven't read this far given what's been written, but if you have, THANK YOU for all of the great work you do. I don't think many of us realize how fortunate we are to have the benefit of reading detailed, insightful feedback on big-time events like Kane's transfer and Sadler's hiring, from coaches in the program being interviewed by a hard-working professional. It's a real treat for us fanatics, and we're a lucky bunch.

Now, that's what ***-kissing looks like (though I mean every word of it).

Oh for god's sake. Chris could have easily asked the question, got an answer of 'you know I'm not going to answer that' and not put it in his writeup. He also could have known from his expirence that asking the question would have been pointless. Any idiot with half a brain knows that asking what the scholarship situation is, wasn't going to get an answer from an assistant coach.

I'd be interested in knowing what clonedude does for a living

A wannabe cop, perhaps?

Seriously, this may have been CW's most impressive week ever! It included some really heartfelt writing, incredibly fast work on interviews, and the normally good insight.

Could you stop trying to think then?

If it's a question that they can't answer, there isn't any point to asking it. There's no way that a coach can answer that question prior to the information released.

Therefore, it really doesn't matter if CW asks that question or not.

And, for the record, I would like to add that I am astounded at the amazing job that CW does in spite of his numerous and obvious shortcomings. Normally, I would expect a lot less from a guy like CW, but CW manages at every turn to rise above the adversity that being him creates.

Until the question is asked and addressed I'm just going to assume that Mel is graduating after summer session and transferring to the Hoks.

Edit: just saw the promo on Espn being in Ames for an 8 hour special called "The Question".

Actually, if we "listen" carefully, CW will probably "tell" us the information shortly after he knows it, just like he did with Doc Sadler.

MA:It really gives us stability and that’s not to discredit when Bubu Palo and Monte Morris can bring to the table. Bubu is as solid of a rock for us as there is. Bubu will be an instrumental piece to us winning a lot of games next year. Monte Morris, we all know how good he can be but nonetheless he is still a freshman.

Anyone think it was odd he went in detail about how tbis wasnt a knock to morris or bubu with no mention of naz?

Correct. He might have been asked the question. And I've already said that he probably was. And no, I don't need CW to tell me if he asked it or not.

ALL I said was that the question had to be asked.
I was not expecting an answer, and I'm sure CW wasn't either, but it still doesn't change the fact that it had to be asked IMO.

No, and we're all disagreeing with you. The question DID NOT need to be asked. Everyone and their sister knows the scholly count. Everyone and there sister knows a change will be forthcoming. Everyone and their sister knows Fred (or any of his assistants) will NOT answer that question so IT IN NO WAY needed to be asked when you know you won't get an answer.
