PSU vs Iowa Dual

Will Iowa’s Heavy stay with wrestling? Would surprise me if he does.

Well, now that I’m looking again. Did PSU get a team point taken away? It was 26-8 going into the final match and he got a MD. What am I missing that the final was reported as 29-8?

Who reported it as 29-8?

TrackWrestling = 30-8
PSU site = 30-8
Iowa site = 30-8

IF he has a real shot to be a main contributor on the football field I'd make the switch if I were him. Not sure if he does though.

Strange spot for Iowa. They aren’t close to Penn State this year despite their portal activity. Kueter hasn’t been the guy they thought he’d be. They are staring at some massive lineup holes next year especially at the lower weights. Much of their talent clears out this season and next. They are going to have keep chucking massive money around to remotely keep up, or finally figure out how to develop guys (not banking on it!)

I think Kueter is fine. I mean…he just beat Feldman. The top 3 at 285 are just plain generational at that weight class.

I do think he needs to make a decision though. Totally different conditioning.

There is a video on X of Gabe Arnold walking off and he didn’t even watched Ferrari wrestle. He was absolutely pissed.

Don't think it will happen, but there is a scenario where Penn State blanks Iowa. I think it will come down to Ayala's health and if he is back.

125- LL major Cruz 4-0 PSU
133- Ayala Dec Davis (Davis major if Iowa doesn't go) 4-3 PSU
141- Bartlett Maj Block 8-3 PSU
149- SVN Dec Parco 11-3 PSU
157- Kasak Dec Teemer 14-3 PSU
165- MM Maj Caliendo 18-3 PSU
174- Haines Dec Kennedy 21-3 PSU
184- Cstar Maj Arnold 25-3 PSU
197- Buchanan Dec Barr 25-6 PSU
Hwt- Kerk Dec Kueter 28-6 PSU

If Ayala doesn't go, I think it is 32-3 PSU and I wouldn't be shocked if Barr beats Buchanan. 157 is also a toss up and Teemer could definitely beat Kasak, but I think Kasak will wear Teemer down.
Boy that final tally wasn't terribly far off...
