That being said, without Marble I don't see them anywhere in the top 40. NIT runner-up again would be hilarious!
1. Kentucky (experience, 6 deep w/ quality big men, already getting scrimmages against pro players in for chemistry, this team is nuts)
2. Arizona
3. Wisconsin
4. Duke
5. North Carolina
6. Louisville
7. Florida
8. Kansas
9. Virginia
10. Iowa state
11. Villanova
12. Texas
13. Wichita state
14. Ohio state
15. Oklahoma
16. SDSU
17. Gonzaga
18. Connecticut
19. Stanford
20. SMU
21. Syracuse
22. UCLA
23. VCU
24. Michigan state
25. Utah
There was discussion so I was hoping to get a little money out of it. It only takes 1 sucker. :smile:really going out on a ledge there....
Will we be ranked to start the year? We are high on Ejim and Kane's replacements but outsiders may see them as a mediocre MAC transfer and a malcontent.

Hey, everyone. I'm a huge college basketball fan and it's been such a long, boring offseason for us diehard fans. I had a little bit of time to do some research and decided to do my own preseason Top 25. For any of you that are in the same boat as me and love college ball, I encourage you to post your Top 25. Anyways, here's mine:
1 Duke
2 Kentucky
3 Arizona
4 Florida
5 Wisconsin
6 IOWA STATE!!!
7 Kansas
8 Louisville
9 San Diego State (it may be a bit of a stretch here)
10 North Carolina
11 Connecticut
12 Texas
13 Virginia
14 Wichita State (they're extremely overrated, some preseason polls have them top 10)
15 Ohio State
16 Michigan State (big drop off from last year)
17 Virginia Commonwealth
18 Villanova
19 Oklahoma
20 Gonzaga
21 Dayton (before you call me dumb, they return 3 starters from last years team that didn't hit their stride until late February and it showed in the tourney)
22 Stanford
23 Kansas State
24 Michigan
25 SMU
I would've put SMU in the top 15, but after losing Mudiay to China, that really hurt them. Larry Brown still has a very excellent team.
Ranking ISU #6 may be a bit of a stretch, but even though I'm a total homer, this team does have a ton of talent and is capable of being a Top 10 team, IMO.
Please include your rankings as well to help pass the time between now and November.
Note that this poll does not mean that I think Duke will necessarily win the 'ship. It all depends on matchups and Duke has a pretty big tendency to come up short (see last year).
1. Kentucky 2. Arizona 3. Wisconsin 4. Duke 5. Kansas 6. Carolina 7. Florida 8. Virginia 9. SDSU 10. Texas 11. Louisville 12. Iowa State 13. Wichita State 14. Gonzaga 15. Nova 16. Oklahoma 17. UConn 18. VCU 19. Nebraska 20. Harvard 21. Ohio State 22. Syracuse 23. Michigan State 24. Iowa 25. SMU
But we return Georges Niang and Monte Morris. That's a Wooden Award watch list guy and potential first team All-American along with the NCAA record holder for assist-to-turnover ratio. We'll be ranked somewhere in the mid to late teens. Most media outlets are all aboard the Hoiberg Hype Train these days.
Why, because it's absurd that they might sneak into the tail end of the rankings? I get the ISU/Iowa rivalry but be realistic. They will get votes in the preseason polls, maybe enough to get them into the Top 25. It would be trolling if I put them 12th and put ISU at 22. Just blindly calling me a troll is old and played out and boring. It's hard to say you don't troll at all when you throw Iowa in there.

Umm, and Hogue. What he did against UCONN may have been the single best Cyclone performance last year.
I agree. I didn't want to go into too much detail because I could go on and on about this team. I just thought my point would be made by listing only Niang and Morris.
