Post Malone/Jellyroll concert at Jack Trice

I love to see more concerts in Ames. In the 1970's and 80s , Hilton was one of the most popular concert venues in the Midwest. Great way to bring in people outside of sports.

That said, I'm a bit skeptical about an outdoor concert at Jack Trice on April 11th. Average high temp for that date in Ames is 56-59 and average low is 36-38. Heck, we could easily see snow on that date. Now there's a chance to sell alcohol!!

What even is Post Malone? Country? Rap? Auto tune pop? I literally have no idea.
Post started as rap then went country, kind of sings everything. I assume this will be more country since that is his new stuff.

Jelly Roll lost about 300lb in the last couple years so will look different than in these. Here's some Jelly Roll for those that don't know the hits:

Welcome to Iowa
I’ve seen plenty of good shows in Iowa that weren’t country and I guess Post is r&b and country and whatever else you want to call him. I’d just like to see a bit more diversity as this is the 3rd now.

Funny how they can serve alcohol for events like this at JTS, but not serve alcohol to the general public at football and basketball games.
Watching the ISU/KSU game on TV on Sunday, and I noticed when they had a tight shot of the one of the benches the fan sitting behind the bench had a Busch Lite can under his chair, so KSU is serving beer to the fans, but not ISU.

I’ve seen him in concert and it was a great show. This may be is country stuff though.

Been happening forever. I remember seeing Dave Attell do a bit at Hilton some 20 years ago. Free event but they were selling beer all
Over the concourse. Dave proceeded to spark a couple cigs on stage. Good show all around!

Sierra Ferrell is so underrated. I've seen her live. Woman has the voice of an angel.
