Iowa will definately live and die by the three. They seem to struggle with athletic teams. They hit some towards the end.
Iowa State pushed when they needed to, pretty much dictating the tempo. Still they had some lapses with bad shots, and bad D. Overall, much improved from the last 2 games

Iowa threw in a bunch of shots and I'm OK with that but the missed free throws and DGs bunny are mind numbing.

This was certainly the right game to have, at the right time. At times, they looked like world beaters, and others, just a little out of synch. Iowa is certainly better than when they started the season, and I'm going to be tired of Gatens before he's through. Craig was a man among boys again. Overall, a somewhat disjointed game, but hopefully this one gets them back on a roll.
Glad we won. Much better effort all around. Saw some hustle, some emotion. Went to Brackins early and often and he got some nice position down low.
Wish we would have finished better though. That type of thing is going to bite us again against a better team.

I know, "a win is a win is a win" but the last 3:31 was disappointing. Average win. We need to close...step on throats. We looked like we were headed in that direction, but started showboating...
I honestly can't say that we played any better than we did the last 3 games. You have to consider the competition.
I disagree. Even though Iowa sucks this year they aren't like a Mississippi Valley State. We mostly, not all, but mostly played better.
We shot 58% from the field. I mean come on...seriously though the only reason they got within 10 is because they made tons of three pointers.
We took our foot off the gas, and Iowa hit like 5 straight 3 point shots, while we missed FT after FT. Although it was a discouraging finish, we were still 15-20 points better tonight.
