Meanwhile in Iowa City
It should be interesting to see if Gronk is the next big thing or he goes bust. I’m guessing he has it easy against Albany Junior High but gets crushed when he comes to Ames.

Meanwhile in Iowa City
I get its easy and fun to dunk on Debby; but how is this not a dark cloud in the horizon for ISU? NEB is much more cash flow rich and is still giving not great optimism about paying players and facilities. That's a harbinger to me. As I said, its just not been as public as NEB just did
I don't get why they need to renovate that at all.On the local sports radio they have been kicking around the numbers for the Memorial Stadium renovation as $500m - $1b
I don’t think Nebraska offered a single one of those players. They aren’t that highly ranked, but I think it’s a mistake by Nebraska to not recruit the better players in state. The majority of Nebraska’s top ten players for 2026 have committed to Iowa State, according to 24/7. Who could have predicted that 30 years ago.
They recruit nationally ya know. Only loser schools like ISU wrap up the creme of the talent in their back yard. Just ask coach 0-11 against top 20 Rhule. The majority of Nebraska’s top ten players for 2026 have committed to Iowa State, according to 24/7. Who could have predicted that 30 years ago.
I agree with the first paragraph. It’s a shame we don’t have this Nebraska on the schedule
This is why they wanted to leave the Big 12. Move before they were a has-been.
They no longer could compete with the southern schools, so they needed to get a schedule like the BIG West and the BIG paycheck
How are they so short on money?Last week University of Nebraska proposed cutting 6 majors, saving them $20.1 million, and what is the NIL limit? Also cutting $6.75 million in administrative costs. A university degree you can be proud of!
Don't think they are related. More so political than athletic (ie. lack of state help and soft enrollment). How are they so short on money?
They lost what 3k students in enrollment? That’s a good 30MM tuition loss. If they haven’t adjusted their staffing to accommodate a 15% student reduction, there is the basic issue right there.Don't think they are related. More so political than athletic (ie. lack of state help and soft enrollment).
As I stated in other threads...the same thing will happen at ISU, it's just been more public and sooner in Nebraska for some reason. They waffled on there stadium renovations and are now cutting academics. Most big state schools will see a similar fate, unfortunately
Honestly, I think Raiola is the most overrated QB in the P4.I do think Nebraska takes considerable step considering where they've been. As much as I hate to say it. Schedule is pretty manageable and think Raiola is going to be pretty good moving forward. I think they finish 9-3. Hope I'm wrong
I don't follow it really closely but I think its due to higher costs, less public funding, and lower attendance. How are they so short on money?
the fuskers sell out every gameI don't follow it really closely but I think its due to higher costs, less public funding, and lower attendance.
Luckily ISU attendance remains good but we are still very affected by the other two.
