Will Kyle Pitts at UF and the kid at PSU both be gone? This year's TE class is strong, I don't know about next year.

So what happens with records if someone like Jaquan Bailey comes back? The dude would have an unreal number of sacks.
I know there isn't much chatter anymore about Purdy leaving, but if we win Saturday and he plays great in a big bowl game win, I could see his draft stock shoot up. Then I could see him leaving.
What's the rule of thumb? If you get a first round grade- you should leave?
He's the one guy we really need back. I like Dekkers and Bouman as prospects but they are both still going to be freshmen next season. Let them develop behind a legend one more season before their shot at primetime.

I would think Kene would either Grad transfer somewhere else or hang them up. He's not going to get MORE carries with Breece here and Brock breathing down his neck. Actually, I was hoping they'd try him at WR this year with his speed, but he must not have the hands for it.
It's been stated on this board (and showcased in the WVU game) that Kene has some of the worst hands on the team

Yeah, Bailey has 25 sacks in 4 years and McDonalds has 15 in 2 years
I have more than 75% confidence that 1/3 of our TE's this year will be returning for next year. This is of course barring injury in our next 2 games
It’s interesting to me how many people think that “graduated” means something hugely significant—when your parents are both university professors and you had a 35 ACT.
I haven’t seen Charlie listed as a first or second round draft pick. Not even in the conversation. I can’t see why he’d go.
Um, to get paid playing the game? I doubt the kid would last beyond the 3rd round. He will be catching passes next year for some NFL team.
I don't see it. He doesn't throw the deep ball well enough or have (edit: typo machine) the size/arm strength combo to warrant 1-2 rd consideration (right now).
You don't need elite size or arm strength to be a starting NFL quarterback but if you don't you better have the accuracy and deep ball to compensate for it. If he works on it he should be in the spotlight ALL YEAR long on a team that will likely start the season ranked in (or just outside) the top 10.
I think he has more to gain than he does to lose by coming back.

I can't see Purdy leaving after this year unless he absolutely blows up these last two games. Compared to other college QBs, he's 19th in passing yards, 25th in passing tds and lower in many other categories. He doesn't throw a great long ball and is not as tall as NFL teams would like (he's not short by any means, but a few inches of height is a big deal to NFL GMs, given his skill set).
That has nothing to do with my impression of Brock. He's a great leader for us, a record-breaker, a great person and a winner. I hope to be able to cheer him on Sundays in the future, but it will take the right NFL team to give him a chance. From an outside perspective, I'm not sure he stands out enough. I hope I'm horribly wrong.

That's a good point, McDonald is on a pretty insane pace.
Something that really excites me about this years team is the strength improvements we've seen along the line. I've grown accustomed to several programs bringing in mid-level recruits and watch them blossom, in many cases due to strength gains, into above average/elite players. For years we've generally been poor to mediocre along the line.
Even though our offensive line is pretty young they've improved greatly as the year's worn on. Across the board we look and play much stronger than we ever have in my memory. This is what, the first full year with the new strength and conditioning coach? With another year with these groups we could see continued improvements in that department, let alone with the extra year of familiarity and experience from a football perspective.

IMO.... Kolar is the only TE on our team that would be drafted. Chase should come back if he wants to be drafted.
You can't have his combination of size (nothing special) and arm-strength (nothing special) without elite accuracy/deep throw ability and be considered an elite prospect. If he wants to improve his draft stock and odds of getting on an NFL field he needs to REALLY work on his deep ball touch/accuracy in the offseason and maximize whatever arm strength is left on the table.
He should definitely come back, especially with the team being a top 10 unit on paper (extra publicity).
The second half of the last sentence (first evaluator) is ridiculous and/or leads me to believe he only watched him after he got hurt last year. Escaping the pocket and making plays is likely one of his strongest traits. Makes me question his skills as an evaluator.
What is your source that Kolar is not returning after this year?
