Players Returning in ‘21

None of our players are coming back next year. Man, wouldnt that be the most ISU thing ever.
This might be the dumbest thing posted in weeks, other then Rebel of course.

I saw a 7 round mock draft yesterday that had a grand total of one cyclone listed. This program is at a point that is unprecedented. Why wouldn't players not want to come back for one more year if the body is able?

Bailey and Eisworth will both be drafted. Kolar and Allen will be drafted if they don't come back. Soehner should get drafted, but injury issues might play into that. Enyi could get drafted as well. Lawrence White probably won't get drafted because there will be a lot of good safeties in the draft.

You think all three tight ends should or would get drafted if they entered? I’m not the most knowledgeable about the draft but for some reason I was thinking kolar would be the only one to get his name called.

no

I would be shocked if Kene doesn’t return. All of those lost games to injury and he’s finding his groove. I think if we lose the CCG we get more back as they will have something to prove.

I remember this summer when it was mentioned this summer that eligibility would remain for anyone, got me thinking of what a weird off season it could be and i'd be curious how the staff/players will navigate this. Like many have said, it is likely MOST of our players with NFL hopes could benefit from more exposure. I also wonder about the impact COVID had to hs recruiting (teams that couldn't play, etc).

I could see some "grad transfer" (or even any transfer) shuffle happen (even for some of our guys) that may get one last shot to play here or somewhere else. Some of our younger guys may have thought next year was their year.

And, obviously, the graduation factor for many and how this all fits in....but i know if I could return, start a masters or finish one, AND be on a team that likely will be a top 15 pre-season, no brainer....and to end on a "normal" year with fans, etc.

I also know i won't be frustrated if guys we'd like back choose to move on...because it's their life/body.

Kolar isn’t returning. Even though he hasn’t said it, he definitely isn’t returning. I hope you’re right, but he’s already graduated and is out the door.

I'm not convinced that he's leaving. I think a lot will depend on what he's hearing on draft projections. If can improve his draft position by coming back a year he will. If you are going to leave early for the NFL you better be getting picked in the first couple rounds.
