Players Era

Yeah, no lie, how much does Tamin get? We get paid same as everyone else and our reward for winning our 2 games is no chance at anything extra and we lose our best player for an undetermined amount of time. We still may end up losing money on this deal. BS.
Our reward is those quality wins on our resume. Will be a huge help come seeding time this March. I find it really weird fans are obsessing over a couple hundred K in NIL and forgetting that.

And if we end up with bad losses on our resume after losing our best player who costs more than the payout does that still matter? I’m usually as optimistic as they come but this bites. KfU gets extra cash for their mediocre team and we get nothing but a no win situation, awesome.

I’m not too worried about it. We banked a million dollars in NIL. Got two Q1 wins. Showed the country on national television that we are good again. Lots of positives came from this.

Except we didn't really get rewarded for that with our third round matchup. Syracuse won't be a resume booster, and on our third game in 3 days could be a resume damager.

A random silver lining is that Carmelo Anthony is (most likely) gonna be there. He's been at the other Cuse games this week.

There is no opportunity for a bad loss on our resume. A neutral court loss to Syracuse is not a bad loss.

You are reaching ti find a worst case scenario that doesn’t exist. That’s actually the definition of a Pessimistic view.

I would guess one Q1 win when selection Sunday happens.

Yeah, they are 0-2 in this, but they played two programs in Houston and Kansas that have far more talent and they played both close - it's not a bad team. Probably won't be Q1 at the end of the year, but likely Q2 which is nothing to sneeze at.
Dont be afraid to send them the line.
They are like 50% last 2 days

I’m looking past this tournament, not just tomorrow. Your assumption is that Tamin will be back soon and this doesn’t cost us down the road.

Syracuse will play 3 games in a row too. I’m not scared of them. We are much more likely to come out with a win then against Tennessee or Michigan or Gonzaga.

Time to put on your big boy pants and quit whining.

I think Creighton will figure it out eventually.
I don't know, Dix and Freeman looked like the same players they were at Iowa, and thats not a good thing. Hopefully we win tomorrow and one of Creighton and Syracuse can put an ok season together so they will be a quad 1 win in March.

Well then, I guess we should have just skipped the non conference season this year and kept Tamin wrapped in bubble wrap instead of going to Vegas and beating #14 St Johns and kicking the crap out of Creighton.

We are a basketball team. They play basketball. Challenging yourself against good teams is how you improve. Beating them is even better. I can’t fathom why people are so upset over the outcome of this tournament. It’s been a huge positive boost to our season.
