An explanation of the Players Era Festival’s schedule and Syracuse’s potential matchups
The Players Era Festival, an 18-team event being held in Las Vegas, is not a traditional tournament with a bracketed field.www.syracuse.com

Thats not an official rule set, that is an article from a news source that is interpreting them, that has repeatedly been contradicted by the announcers on TV.
So who is right? Does anyone have a link directly to the rules from Players era?
Dude imagine being here and trying to plan anything tomorrow or Thursday lolThe more I learn about this Players Era Tournament, the less I know about this Players Era Tournament.
All I know is that someday, ISU will play some team, at some time, on some court, for some place finish. Or something like that.
Exactly, that is the problem, no one knows at this point everyone is saying different things.By the same note, the announcers on TV are interpreting rules sets as well. At no point have we heard from the tournament about the format.
Alabama wouldn’t be a bad matchup, eitherA short prep matchup with Gonzaga or Tennessee would be awesome - tough games, but nothing to lose in a game like that.

Because that website is not affiliated with the tournament in any way. It's a guy doing it for his web dev portfolio.Yea, I'm aware of the source. I've seen that same interpretation a few other places - none of them are official though. Clearly nobody really knows for sure.
It's also odd to me that https://playerserastandings.com/ let's you view standings by pod. What utility would that have if those didn't matter? But we don't even know who is running those standings, so we're right back where we started.
My conspiracy theory is the organizers want to hand-pick who is in the money games to drive TV viewership. More people are going to tune in to watch Kansas than Iowa State, for example. What an embarrassment from this “tournament”. How do you not have a clear set of rules posted and explained so everyone understands? Teams don’t know potential matchups less than 24 hours before they play
