Pizza Ranch

Just thought I'd step in and settle this one for everyone......

Pizza Hut Stuffed Crust
Caseys
Jeffs Pizza
Papa Johns
Pizza Pit
Happy Joes Taco Pizza
Pizza Ranch (mostly for the wide array of chicken pizzas)
Little Ceasars
Pizza Hut
Ci Cis
Dominos

Granted, it's been 10 plus years since I've set foot in a Chuck E. Cheese, but I don't know that "fairly good" describes anything inside that restaurant.

Their pizza sucks. I just go there to play games with my kids who get weirded out by the animatronics.

When was the last time you had Domino's? Had to be at least 2 years.

Also, I don't even consider Little Ceasars or Ci Ci's as pizza, because I've never eaten a pizza I didn't like.

I still have Dominos quite often and it's plenty good. That list is kind of like the Big 12 in basketball this year, after the first 3-4 it's really just about making sure you don't forget one.

Old people love it, but I do too. Every time we visit Okoboji we make one or two stops at the Spirit Lake one. Although, I've only been to the Ames one twice ever. That drive while hungover just doesn't seem to get me off my bed.

Didnt read any of the thread but any pizza discussion has to end with Happy Joes being the best.

Also, I actually like pizza ranch a lot. The pizza is only so-so but the fried chicken is amazing (along with the other sides)

Every time I have ate at this one I was either Drunker than a skunk, or hungover. No in between.

Alright guys, I've been taking notes on everyones thoughts on Pizza Ranch and here's what I've got:

- You can ask for whatever pizza you want on the buffet...which you can do at most pizza buffets I believe (at least at Valentinos and I believe Pizza Hut?) They will make any pizza and bring it to you first before putting it on the buffet.

- CrazyGreg likes free ice cream, which you can find at most buffet restaurants, at least in Ames

- Bret is now Britt.

I guess I'll have to give it another chance.

Went there about 10 years ago for a nephew's birthday party and I thought the pizza was completely void of flavor. Reminded me of the stuff they used to serve in schools. You know, the rectangular stuff that vaguely resembled pizza in that it had red stuff that resembled sauce, brown stuff that resembled meat and white stuff that resembled crust and/or cheese.

If it's been 10 years you for sure need to try it again. Like others have said their pizza doesn't exactly light the world on fire, but is respectable. The chicken, cheese sticks, and desert pizza are where the money is.

Steak and onion pizza there is pretty damn good. Others are ok. Cactus bread is good.
