Waffles at a restaurant, pancakes at home. But I hardly ever eat either even tho I like both. Give me biscuits and gravy, really any thing with sausage gravy, or just a classic eggs/meat/bread mix. Sucker for a good benedict.
I made biscuits and gravy this morning.
I think i'll freeze some of the gravy and try using it as the sauce for a breakfast pizza some weekend.

Pancakes can be thick or thin, buckwheat, sourdough, blueberry, etc. A waffle is just a waffle.
That reminds me when we finally decided to go to a Waffle House. I was imagining all these different options. Nope. Just.... waffle.

Waffles by a thin margin - mainly because it takes longer for the syrup to make them "soggy."

I almost lose my appetite as well when I eat pancakes at IHOP with a motorcycle riding buddy of mine. He puts sour cream on them, and says he'd put guacamole if they had it.
Now I have had some savory waffles (cornmeal, cheddar cheese & jalapeño in batter) that would be delicious with sour cream and guac. Standard sweet ish waffle would not be good.
