Vs Iowa he said something along the lines of "hit while out of bounds" implying to the refs it was a late hit. I've heard a few other clever digs by him. My buddy who does PA announcing for high school football loves these type of digs.
During the Texas game when there was an uncalled PI penalty he said something like "xxxx with the real tight pass coverage"

And, for added measure..

Speaking of the PA guy. Did anyone hear all the catch phases he made during the Kansas game?

I remember him saying “got tattooed by Joel Lanning” and my favorite “got campaniled” whatever that means.

I loved it.

He used to use "XX hearing the bells of Iowa State after that hit". Haven't heard that for a while

This thread has moved me in the opposite direction as OP. Anyone who is announcing that a player "got campaniled" or these other dad jokes gets a thumbs up from me. Perhaps his voice is not as good as his zingers, but two thumbs up.

Please update thread with any new ones today.

If, for example, Joel Lanning does the "eating" move after a sack, maybe he'll bust out the "Hi hungry, I'm the PA announcer".

I too was a little confused as to the meaning of the "campanilled"

That meant going to make out at midnight to me...

I thoroughly enjoy the passive aggressive comments towards the officiating.
