OU Internal Emails Regarding Realignment

I decided to un-ignore Mizzoulander to see if he was saying anything useful. Conclusion: Back on my ignore list.

Dude, but you will miss out on this:

Wow, talk about delusional. If it was such a no-brainer, why didn't they announce it, proudly, right here in KC when they decided to finally take a **** or get off the pot? I mean, if the same decision is right in Columbia, it also has to be right in Springfield, Jefferson City, or Kansas City, right? As long as it is a no-brainer.

For the record, we love how you and other tiggers come to this site and try to earn validation for Missouri's idiotic move. Maybe if you guys got to double digits in Big12 championships we might take your athletic department seriously.

Oh Joe...I liked it better when you were parroting Fox News talking points.

I think we've already been down the road of why there was a delay in announcing. And if KC was so irate, how come Keitzman's protest of the curators meeting amounted to LITERALLY nothing?

Until somebody actually surveys the attitudes of MU alums in the KC area, all we have is worthless speculation and stupid ancedotes. So let's just agree to wait and see.

Speaking of worthless, Joe, you've made your point about ISU's legendary record in non-revenue sports. That's terrific...even more so if it mattered. Seriously, I'll never understand some fans' fixation on trying to compare or quantify success through obscure metrics, like stadium capacity or bowl payouts or cross-country titles.

Next you'll be dragging out the Sears cup rankings. Seriously...everybody that trots out this argument should be forced to buy season tickets for the sports they're embracing.

0 for 2 in my family for alums, 0 for 5 for all Mizzou fans. In-laws were considering later moving back to Missouri side of KC so that kids could get in-state tuition at Mizzou. Now? Not too concerned. KU is a fine university and closer to home.

When I think about how I would react if ISU just forfeited a century old rivalry, forced college sports further down this path of making TV execs even richer at the expense of tradition and whats best for the athletes and cost the biggest city in my state millions of dollars and the probable loss of jobs to my fellow Iowans... well I am sure I would also constantly be on message boards of former rivals bragging about it.

Why are Mizzou fans obsessed with ISU? Flattering, but why?
