OSU's Jawun Evans entering the draft

That makes OSU more manageable next year.

Agree, but they still have Carroll & I thought that backup point guard was pretty decent actually. Lindy Waters is good. Griffin. Solomon. Sima-6'11" transfer. not sure who will be their coach, but I actually think they'll be pretty decent.

Let's all pretend to be surprised.

I feel you on a lot of this other than they've made final fours as of recent, BCS bowls, and were never in jeopardy during conference realignment.

Fair points, and yes they've had better days in the sun than us. I've just always been ok with it. They're similar to us in a lot of ways...we've just never had an oil magnate to single handedly fund our athletic department.

Just throwing it out there... Jeffrey Carrol did redshirt his first season, so it's possible he could graduate in May, and then transfer out. Not sure he would, considering he's going to be the Pre Season POY in the Big 12, unless Motley comes back for some reason.

He probably couldn't transfer with in the conference, but Iowa St next year, with Jeff Carrol, would be impressive.

Hopefully he doesn't bump Morris down.

Now how about Carroll grad transfers to University of Illinois

Are there restrictions on Grad Transferring? I didn't think there were.

Evans was really fun to watch. I hope he finds success at the next level.

I know someone else will step up (Wigginton, Lecomte, Fisher, Trae Young), but the Big XII is losing a talented set of point guards in Morris, Evans and Mason.

Glad we don't have to watch that kid go off for 29 again.
GIA will really be empty next year.

I imagine nobody here considered that OSU might land a better coach. Hard shoes to fill but none the less a possibility. Of course, a school has to open the wallet to do that.

Evans probably would have stayed had the coach stayed.

Unless they're landing a coach like Martin that's bringing recruits, he could be better than Underwood and struggle.

With Carroll and Solomon they return more than we do, but losing Evans is big. Arguably bigger than us losing Morris imo.

When they lost Underwood, they lost any momentum they had with MBB @ OSU. 3 coaches in 3 year span? I am not sure if I would stick around if I were Carroll or Solomon.

If there aren't any restrictions on it this would be a great move for ISU. I wouldn't like doing it if they had a coach in place because I think something like that could come back to bite you, but without a coach, with Evans leaving, this would be a great opportunity to bring him up to Ames.

Anyone know official rules on this?

They can transfer to conference teams. One of purdue's guard was a grad transfer from Michigan. Saying that though schools can still block a player going to certain schools. The only reason Michigan unblocked Purdue was because they didn't have a scholarship for their fifth year senior.
