If there aren't any restrictions on it this would be a great move for ISU. I wouldn't like doing it if they had a coach in place because I think something like that could come back to bite you, but without a coach, with Evans leaving, this would be a great opportunity to bring him up to Ames.

Well the big current hurdle is that he's still on scholarship at OSU. Coaches can't talk to a player on scholarship, even if they have no coach.
Now if you wanted to bend the rules a bit, you could have your people talk to his people, and see if there's any interest in making a move. It's pretty slimy, but I'm sure it happens.
