Oregon #1 in AP

The game will be probably played in the cold at night in Manhattan.

Advantage: Bill Snyder.

Kstate is going to get screwed, if everything plays out. ESPN wants a Oregon vs ND title game, they are pushing for that.

Last year Alabama or LSU didn't have to play the Big 12 champ to win the national title, so a turnabout would be fine with me. Yesterday #1 Bama couldn't cut it at home against a high power offense one year removed from the Big 12. Who knows, A and M may have beat them last year too with Tannehill. Last year I think most of the country wanted to see a great SEC defense face a great Big 12 offense for the national title instead of the snoozer we got.

Every ESPN talking head hates ND except Mike Golic and Lou Holtz. They want KState and ND to lose so their beloved SEC team will be in the title game against Oregon. Herbstreit and Musberger didn't even talk about ND during their own game, they kept talking about Alabama and showing clips from that game.

Watched Oregon against Cal a while before I fell asleep. Their defense is truly atrocious. Can't believe they are number 1. Hoping for KState/Notre Dame just to annoy ESPN.

The only way I see that happening, assuming everyone wins out, is if ND absolutely destroys USC. K-State has largely blown every team they've played out of the water, whereas Notre Dame hasn't been nearly as dominant and has luckily squeaked by some pretty awful teams (Purdue, Pitt, BYU).

Assuming Oregon and Notre Dame are the only unbeaten teams at the end of the season, does anyone think that the BCS passes over Notre Dame in favor of a one-loss team? Say Alabama absolutely destroys UGA in the SEC title game...do they have any chance?

Texas is hot. K-State could have their hands full.

I think K-State will trounce Texas. They're all about running the ball and Texas's run defense is awful. Also, K-State's defense is solid every week.

I'm actually surprised that aTm wasn't #1 today. Isn't that how it should go according to ESPN? You beat the #1 SEC team, so that mean you are now #1, doesn't matter what your record is. Honestly, I kind of feel honored that they still even let the rest of us get any consideration next to them in the SEC.

Bama lost to a team that wasn't even in the top 10 and only fell to fourth. What a joke.

Poll voters must watch a lot of ESPN, because if there's one thing ESPN does well, it's pimp the SEC and Bama. Never thought I'd see the day college football became as corrupt and convoluted as boxing, but it's almost there.

Mississipi State has been ranked all season despite not having beat any good teams and a sub 80 SOS most of the year.

If you're in the SEC, you're automatically ranked higher than every team with the same loss number, even if your SOS is much worse than plenty of Big 12 and Pac 12 teams.

Almost there, dude its there **** ESPN and those know nothing homers.

Watch K-State get jumped by ******* Notre Dame. The boner ESPN has for Notre Dame is unbelievable, starting at the top with Slou Holtzth

I loved how Lou tried to say last night that Notre Dame should jump K-State becasue they beat OU by more points. He is such an idiot.

Herb and Mustard did talk about how they thought and how it should be ND vs OU in the BCS game last night, if everything plays out. ND brings eyes to the TV for the title game and ESPN cashes in on that.

After Notre Dame beat OU, Cowherd said they might actually have a varsity football team. Scott Van Pelt rips them daily. With the exception of Holtz and Golic, ESPN hates Notre Dame probably in part because of the NBC contract and the fact they don't get that many of their games. ESPN definitely wants an SEC team in the championship although I really don't understand why. They love Oregon and big offense too.

Listened to Herbstreit and Musberger in Manhattan for Okie State/KState and they sounded absolutely plastered like they had no interest at all in being there. ESPN does not cover Big 12 much and has no desire for a Big 12 champion versus Notre Dame.
