On That Note: My Favorite Part

At the 1:37 mark when Shane raises his arms right as the lights flare up and the band kicks in... If there's one live music show in history I'd give anything to have been at, this might be it.

At the 1:41 mark, the moment that got The Replacements banned from SNL for life, when Westerberg looked to Bob Stinson and on live TV shouted "c'mon f*cker!" Sorry for the Spanish subtitles, finding this on video is next to impossible.

The guitar solo, against the other guitar. Nothing fancy at all, just brings the song together. I'm 12 years old at the community pool, growing up.

Love this song that was made just for Harry and Hendersons the chorus always gets me in the feels and reminds me loved ones no longer here.

'Cause love lives on
Beyond goodbye
The truth of us
Will never die
Our spirits will shine
Long after we're gone
And so our love lives on

Love songs with have lyrics that make me stop and go woah. Discovered this one recently in Angel by Shaggy. Now I can't listen without this part sticking out.

Life is one big party when you're still young
But who's gonna have your back when it's all done? (Yeah)
It's all good when you're little, you have pure fun
Can't be a fool, son, what about the long run?

The Who

Intro to Magic Bus, Live at Leeds...

Jimi Hendrix ,3:15 to conclusion

Two riders were approaching
and the wind began to howl...HEY!

This is one where the song isn't a favorite outside of the opening music riff. Once the words start I'm done with it. :)

LOL. I've sometimes wondered if Wayne's World should have made "No Smoke on the Water" (every budding guitarist plays it) their music shop sign, but, "Stairway to Heaven," is really more pretentious.

John Denver' wrote this song but as far as I'm concerned Mary Travers owns it, in particular her opening vocal line. I awoke to this song one morning from a dream.
