This sounds weird as a mood elevator - but lately, when I've been working around the house, I go to Youtube. There are a bunch of Vietnam war era compilations that have really really great music on them. I put one of those on, crank up the volume, and let it rock.

The soundtrack to the Robin Williams classic "Good Morning Vietnam" is fantastic. I still have it somewhere on CD. It also has some of his best radio bits from the movie.
