Oddly, this makes me think of Ernest Goes to Camp. It was on the soundtrack. I've heard it many times before and since, but that sticks with me.
This song takes me back to my 80's metal happy place. It's amazing how much talent they assembled for this song

Two versions of the same song, both will literally take you to the Higher Ground. I absolutely love the original, but the RHCP version always gets me going as well. Two different styles, same funk.

This one, which gained popularity from being on the Clueless soundtrack is pretty darn upbeat. And it's by one of my favorite underrated (at least in the US) bands, Supergrass!
RHCP's version would've fit well in OTN: Other Covers, too. Another one I wish I would've cited.
