On That Note: Dynamic Duos

@coolerifyoudid citied TMBG earlier in the thread, I’ll add a couple more.

TMBG’s highest-charting single and on my list of definitive ‘90s songs. Also, arguably the best geek-rock music video of all time.

From “John Henry,” the first album on which John & John used a full band arrangement, rather than synthesized and programmed backing tracks.

Funny thing on below: I was in some hole in the wall town on the Oregon Coast last summer, and someone pulled up in their 1990-whatever with this just jammed. Couldn't help but love it.

Can't believe I didn't think of Dre and Snoop Dogg

Even I know that TMBG song. Thanks to a nephew. Who is a geek, LOL.

Here is something a little different as far as duos go...Years ago, Lawrence Welk had two outstanding guitar players in his band: Neil LeVang and Buddy Merrill. In addition to playing with Welk for over 20 years, Neil LeVang was a Grammy winner, prominent studio musician, and Fender spokesman for many years. Buddy Merrill also played with Welk for 20 years, was a superb steel guitar player, and a pioneer in recording multitracking.

Every once in awhile, Welk would have Buddy and Neil do a duet on his show. Thanks to YouTube, these performances are showing up.

A little behind-the-back guitar action on Lawrence Welk!

Last night I was watching (for the first time) From Here to Eternity (best picture of 1953) and to my surprise there was Merle Travis, as an enlisted man, playing Reenlistment Blues. Oh, and speaking of dynamic duos:
